Jensen VM9312 for 250 used....
they are 350ish new

thats only 10 less watts than what mine has and mine hits hard...

People think 20watt rms is low..

But i got a 2 channel 35w rms per channel amp from 1998 that can handle two subs

But 40 watt isnt bad per channel man

Get it

yea, my alpine is rated at 50w max per channel, 22w rms, and it plays loud enough for me. right now my 400w amp to my sub distorts before my regular speakers do, and they are powered off the HU 0-0

I've heard that they do ok. I haven't used it personally but my distributor does carry it and it seems to work well. There have been some other members on here that used it as I recall and they seemed to be ok with it as well. Personally if your going to go with that I'd recommend an inexpensive amp to go with it...a decent 5-channel would power everything including your sub and offer much better sound quality over stock. Your Pioneer is a nice unit as well and I would think would offer better sound processing.
I think overall you'd like the Jenson even though it doesn't have a name like Pioneer on it if not just for the added features it brings to the table for you. It probably isn't going to have as good a sound quality as the Pioneer but it should sound ok for what your trying to accomplish.

My friend had a Miata with the Jensen dvd player with 40x4 watts, and it sounded loud in his miata
he also had two 12s and a 1000 watt amp and it was equal bass and treble with his speakers running off his HU

I had this screen and I loved it, it had all the features I needed for a reasonable price. My only complain was the remote control batteries died too often.
