Default Monsoon system. Headunit or Speakers

My systems is not up to par. I hear of alot of distortion and want to change the whole thing eventually but going to do in parts. I am curious if I should change speakers first than headunit, or headunit than speakers?

HU first - it's the primary cause of distortion... it's said that the Monsoon amp itself does a pretty good job (besides lack of power).

Agreed, head unit first then speakers. The factory speakers aren't that bad for sound quality - they're just made from cheaper materials that don't last as well as good aftermarket speakers.

Agree with above!! HU is the best place to start if your speakers are not blown. It is the source of your audio system so it's the best place to start. Of course your speakers will be next. After you improve the speakers a seperate subwoofer is a nice way to round out everything and tie it together. You should see good results with those few upgrades even without changing the Monsoon amplifier.
