Kappa's, replace tweeters also??
Hi,
Today I am would like to replace my OEM front speakers with kappa 62.7i .
Question is I also got some OEM tweeters, should I replace or disconnect my current tweeters?
I think as the kappas have tweeters inbuilt I should disconnect them, can someone please confirm this please?
Many thanks
Paul.

I've used them in my Camaro, they're "ok" at best with the stock system.
Leave your stock tweeter alone, unless its blown. The stock tweeter is 4ohm and the tweeter on the Kappa is 2ohm and the woofer on the Kappa is 2ohm.
The best thing to do with these stock stereo's is throw them in the trash. I wasted soo much money on a few sets of Kappa's (doors + sail panels) and trying other brands and found out best way is to ditch it all.
You can see what I did with my Camaro for a cheap (sort of), not heavy with big amps, and didn't ruin my t-top holder space here:

I'm about to rip into my T/A and put the same set up inside it as well.
Peace,
Craig.
P.S. - Check out the stereo section we have here.

Thanks for the replys.
Well, I ended up ignoring the OEM tweeters, and left the wires lose in the door, and everything works fine.
The sound is sooo much better than it was, and it sounds a bit louder too, although that may be my imagination.
