Default Interior light stays on

due to my drivers door switch, button or w/e it is, it makes my interior lights stay on, and my music still plays whenever i shut the car off...where is the button located...i wish it was on the body of the car where the door shuts so i could easily disconnect it but i cant find it..

No, 98+ f-bodies have the door switch mounted to the door latch assembly.

They are grounding switches - the switch closes and completes the circuit to ground when the door is opened. The left door gets signal from the BCM on a gray with black wire, the right door gets the signal on a black with white wire, and both switches ground through black wires.

However, you might not want to bypass them because they affect other functions of the BCM besides the courtesy lights - alarm system and retained accessory power. The first thing to try is cleaning because road grime tends to make the switches stick. Also, there is a certain amount of adjustment in the switch play available by loosening the mounting screws. You might find that some adjustment will make the switches work properly.
