Default Can I change my auto-down to auto up by switching wires around?

I need my windows to go auto up, instead of down for trailering reasons. I pull my car onto my car hauler and clmib out the window through the t-tops because my door hits the fenders. After I get out, I would like to be able to reach in and press auto up and walk away after I put the t-top back in. Can't really leave window down coming home incase of rain and really dont want to cut and hack my fenders off. Trying not to put on a 300.00 alarm to have this function.

Thanks for the help.

Jay

I don't know the answer, but how would you get back in? It seems like having a remote function would be the best option.

Wow,excellent question..I'm screwed either way aren't I?
Maybe I just need to change up the order.
1. get out window
2.roll up window
3.put on t-top
4.close door.

to get in
1. open door a crack
2. remove t-top
3. press window down
4. climb in

remote function is sounding better by the minute.

DEI makes a module (the 530T) that gives you auto up and auto down for both windows. It's available online for about $50. As long as you don't open the door when you climb out, the RAP power will still be available so you can reach in and push the window up switch and let them go up automatically.

You could install a DEI 530T which would give you auto up and down on both sides.

Manual and other info:

Instructions:

With that, you can rig it to auto-up on lock if you want.

Just an idea - I have a similar situation and I get through using the T-Tops. First I take the top off and then get out through the roof. I then crack the door open just enough to install and latch the T-Top.

Maybe you could install KITT-type power t-tops.

A basic keyless entry aftermarket unit or an alarm without the sensors, along with that window module would probably do it..

have it go full-up on arming, and then use an aux output to lower the windows full-down on disarm.

Some units will also change what the aux does depending on the car being armed or disarmed, which would allow you to leave the windows open a little bit should you desire.

You could do the progressive lock mod on the factory keyless entry and then use the extra "channel" on unlock for triggering the 530T to lower the windows.

My trip home from the track will be about an hour. Here in south florida a rain can pop up at any time in the summer so leaving the tops of wouldn't be an option.
The 530t sounds like what I'm looking for.
Thanks so far for the help.

is it possible to wire that module to roll the windows down with the aux key on a stock remote( if they have one) because im pretty sure my second keyless has the aux instead of the trunk button? not sure

There is no auxiliary channel in the BCM (which controls the keyless entry) but you could use the hatch release circuit as a window trigger if you don't mind using your key to open the hatch all the time - even the dash button would not work.

When you do the progressive door lock mod you are left with a trigger wire that pulses when you press the unlock button (on the fob) twice. Since you would only want to roll down the windows when the car was unlocked, this would be a workable solution. The only undesirable side effect is that pressing the unlock button on the passenger door would also roll the windows down (same signal as pressing the remote unlock twice).

Some trailers have removable fenders...might not be that hard to convert yours to be removable on the drivers side so you can just get out of the car normally and then put the fender back on...might cost you less too.
