Question pos stock alternator! aftermarket alternators??

Ok I have had 2 new alternators in my car now. (No I don't have an under drive pulley) My last one the regulator went out and now this one just started running at 13 volts and sounds like the bearings are going to explode!

So is there a better after market one I can get? A more reliable one?

Look into Ohio Generator. More expensive but a great product. Especially if your running a high powered stereo system.

Dang! Don't any of the local houses have a lifetime or good warranty? I would just go that route and keep going back until you get a good one.

Wonder if you have something wrong? Maybe an alignment issue or electrical gremlin somewhere? Maybe the better option would be to get one from GMPartsDirect?

alignment issue??

They work fine for a while but then they seem to crap out.

Last time was the regilator now its the bearings.. maybe I just keep getting bad ones.. I have noticed after washing under the hood its worse for a while and my volts are under 13 like the alternator just stopped working. then after a lil while it kicke up to where it should be then shortly after goes down to 13 and stays..

excessive amperage makes the cheapest dependable alternators that fit your stock setup. The website is not the best, but Nate knows what he is doing. I got one for my civic and it works great.

Dominick irraggi is another one people rave about, but I have seen bad reviews.

Ho alternators are good but expensive, same with ohio alternators.

I would make Ohio my second choice behind Excessive amperage.
