Default Help choosing an amp to fit my sub

So I am little new to the whole car audio thing but I just got a passenger side stealth box and a 10” CDT audio 250 watt RMS Max 500 watt sub off of another forum member. I got all of the wires ran from my head unit and from the battery but now I need to chose an amp. What should I base the amp off of? The 250w or the 500w? Here is a link to the sub:

Thumbs up

A Alpine MRP M500 from the same website, or a Kicker ZX400.1.
Also don't forget a amplifier wiring kit!
IMO, Stinger, or Street Wire have really good kits, but for the best price check Ebay.

I have the MTX JH300 Jack Hammer Series for $179.00 and I can include an amp wiring kit with it for $12.00. Hifonics BXi608 is available for $189.00. I also just got some Phoenix Gold amps. I have the RSD300.1 class-D sub amp for $229.00. It will be added to the website tonight.

Thanks 99bluz28, that really helps. I might look into the alpine one you mentioned. I bought an amp kit at wal-mart already and i got all of the wires ran. I forget the brand but i was like $35.

Nice site Kee but I am probably going to try to save a few bucks and buy a used one.

For what amps cost it is nuts to get used. Just me though.
