Default Aftermarket HU with steering wheel volume controls

What does it take to make an aftermarket HU work with your steering wheel volume controls??

i got mine from Crutchfield, was like 80 bux....pac swis K,,i think,,there's more than one, so you'd better research it,,,,,be sure your HU has a remote, or it wont work.

pioneer makes an adapter piece so u can still use them

you can buy the PAC adapter. I used the PAC-JACK which works with JVC, Alpine, Clarion, and Kenwood and it works great, just like stock. Picked mine up from ebay for $45 shipped.

PAC SWI-X is the universal IR steering wheel control adapter. PAC also makes brand specific wired units as well (ex: SWI-PS is for Pioneer headunits with the remote port on the back).

The PAC install is very easy especially if you do it when installing the HU.

Otherwise it just takes removing the HU again. All that is required is to tap into one wire on the Factory harness and connecting to the Power and grnd going to your HU.

Then program it.

Look at crutchfield. Ask there ppl on their chat site and your money... The PAC system works great.
