Default Need RPM Signal for HU?

I just installed the DEH-P9800BT Pioneer Head unit. It has the Signal for RPM. Where can I get a feed so I have the RPM show on the head unit?

I expect you could use the same white wire at pin #10 in the red connector at the PCM that is used for an aftermarket tach.

I used this wire for my remote start.

This is the harness right by the passenger's side fuel rail.

This works as an RPM Signal? How would it work if you used it for a remote start?

I have no idea.

I found that spot in a different thread.

It is possible my remote start is using voltage sensing for it's starting capability.

Just check and see if it puts out a square wave.

Yes, many remote start systems use the RPM signal to determine if the engine started successfully.
