Default Caddy CTS-V Bose, wiring bus volume control

Anyone know which wire and what the signal looks like on the "volume control" portion of the audio bus on the factory bose radio? I'd like to swap everything out but use the stock headunit and either an H701, DCX2496 to integrate a 3 way active front stage. If the XS-8 was out, maybe I'd use that but I already have the amplifiers so I'd rather just try and build a home made workaround.

I have searched, but it seems like everyone yanks the headunit first but I want stealth and can easily deal with any inadequacies in processing later on.

I do have some other options, but would really like the **** on the dash be the one that changes the volume of the system.

Thanks for the help,

Sean
