Default Pullied Cobra vs Bolt on LS1

My car is a 02 t/a auto with crappy 2 73s, full bolts on,dyno tune. And 2 Passengers both weigh around 200 pds.
His car 04 Cobra, 2.4 pulley,intake,short throw,tune,nittos.( said it put down 440hp)

Race 1 = 60-110... I get the jump and he ends up pulling around me by a car.
Race 2= 30-130... He put 4 cars on me.

I know everyone is gonna say he cant drive, but he never onced missed a gear..and ive known the guy for awhile and he can drive pretty good.

What do you guys think? Im shocked, i thouhgt he'd blow me away.

there is no 2.4 pulley, but that doesnt matter. theres a 2.80 which is probally what you ran.

and no disrespect, how does a guy who beats you by four cars the second race, but not the first un able to drive? sounds like he got the wrong end of the deal the first race, but the second one, idk, looks like he can drive to me.

Good runs. Yea, no 2.4 pulley (2.65-2.8) and he would dyno around 460rwhp usually depending on the dyno. The 2nd race he put 4 cars on you....thats a pretty good kill. The first time he may have started in the wrong gear ( I did that this weekend and lost a race), who knows. Maybe he has a very mild tune. Maybe he has belt slip from a shet belt and no idler. You would be surprised how these small things affect Cobras.

cool, well i thought he said 2.4! but maybe it is 2.8. Im not sure, I jus know its somewhere around 450 rwhp. I think if i wouldnt of had the two passengers it woulda been a good race. Because there both either above or right at 200 pds. So I figure 400 pds= 4 tenths of a second = 4 cars? hahahahaha. No I still woulda lost.. but i think i did dang good.

Thanks for the replies.

Yeah I forgot you had 2 pass. he should have walked you hard reak hard...every car is different and so is the driver. Anything can happen on the street. Thats why its great when there is 2 good drivers going at it so you can see the ACTUAL difference in the cars.

Wouldn't the 460 be with an exhaust? He didn't list that as a mod for the Cobra.

It only needs a cb or weld in mufflers and I would assume every pullied Cobra had that first.

Off-road H and X pipes dont do a whole lot on the FI Cobra. You can hit 600+rwhp with the stock manifolds.

yea but i do think it helps. i think thats one of the reasons my car pulls as good as it does with just the pulley. the longtubes help out a lot in the mid range. looking for 125 traps at E-town next weekend.

Well, This car does have a cat back. But IMO a catback isnt anything.

if you dont think the cat back is anything your kinda wrong in a way. most cobras with no pulley swap go from 360rwhp to around 410-420rwhp with an intake. thats pretty noticeable in difference.

and btw, hitting 600RWHP with a twin screw on stock h pip is NOT wise. it creates heat like you wouldnt believe.

My buddy took me for a ride in his 04 Mustang GT when it was stock...Then he took me for a ride when he put his borla catback on, and I didnt even feel the slighest difference. however it was a little louder.

There is absolutely no comparison between an N/A, otherwise stock 2V GT with a catback exhaust and a supercharged 4V Cobra with a catback. Two totally different animals. Hell, a K&N air filter adds some noticeable horsepower to an '03-'04 Cobra
