Before anyone says " LS3 C6's ", remember, a decent set of heads and intake (LS2 intake is main reason they suck) evens the playing field. Other than the .2 displacement anyway.
Everyone should be grabbing C6's, have you seen the prices? Even C6Z's are dipping into the $39K range on ebay now. Crazy.

It looks like some great racing, but I'm not sure about the mods. An LS3 with an "intake" (probably CAI) ran just as hard as a intake, pulley, exhaust, tuned cobra w/ a 100 shot? That's a ~550 rwhp or so cobra. What's an Evo 4 upgrade on a GT500? How does a 436crank-hp car with an "intake" pull on a 600rwhp car, regardless of the weight difference?

It looks like some great racing, but I'm not sure about the mods. An LS3 with an "intake" (probably CAI) ran just as hard as a intake, pulley, exhaust, tuned cobra w/ a 100 shot? That's a ~550 rwhp or so cobra. What's an Evo 4 upgrade on a GT500? How does a 436crank-hp car with an "intake" pull on a 600rwhp car, regardless of the weight difference?

i dunno if this might clear things up a bit but this is a ported/sprayed cobra against a ls3 vette with spray.

put it this way, power to weight ratios: a 436hp vette plus intake... let's give it 20 more hp = 3200/456 = 7.02 lbs for every hp
600 rwhp GT500 = 4000/600 = 6.67 lbs for every hp.
This is assuming the worst for the GT500's weight, and the best for the vette's power. It's also using crank hp for the vette and rwhp for the Cobra. The cobra still comes out ahead. The GT500 was not faster at low speed, the vette was faster all the way through the race. Aero plays a factor, but if aero were to blame, the vette would've come back by later in the race instead of pulling all along.
I'm just saying something doesn't add up here. Either that vette is making significantly more power than they would have us believe, or the GT500 is making significantly less.
Same deal with the Cobra. There is a reasonable excuse for the Cobra though. He may not have been spraying.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves.
LS3 vettes stock trap in the 110's (around 115-118).
I don't think an intake only LS3 (not to mention the LS3 intake is already really nice) could pull a pulley, tune, 100-shot Cobra.
