sr20det vs lt1
I am driving the sr20det, only thing really done is boost controller and a little front mount. Set at 10lbs. Other guy has an lt1 transam 6 spd, I think he has a filter intake other than that I'm pretty sure it is stock. Also I had a passenger, he did not.
So I come to town tonight and I am about to start havin a drink or two on my night off when a buddy of mine suggests I have a few contests of acceleration with a buddy of mine. We give him a call he says we can do some interstate pulls so we get in the car and drive up. Meet him get on the interstate and fun begins.
pull 1 of several: Go from about a 40 roll on the interstate he honks 3 times and I pulled him by about 2-3 cars by about 130mph.
pull 2 we did from about 60 and it was pretty much the same result
We did a few more pulls from about 40-60, a couple of which I pulled the switch to run about 15lbs although it never held the 15lbs, all of which were pretty much the same result.
The only other one that was decent was the one where he slowed down to about 15-20 and I was still in 2nd gear when he started honking but I went anyway and he pulled me by about a car on the jump but I came back pretty hard by the end of third was pulling a car on him and more.
Anyway all good runs all in good fun. the kid has a nice car and is getting his intake and exhaust here soon and I am getting some MT's. The spin was kinda bad from the 40 pulls so those should help. All had fun.

Careful ******* with your boost like that... You'll blow your **** up. Do whatever supporting mods you need, and have a tuner set the boost at a safe level on a good tune. If you wanna go fast, build it right, otherwise you're going to be spending a lot of cash... Good kill BTW.

It's kinda funny...we did those runs last night...and 10 minutes ago, my package I ordered Thursday came in. So tonight I'll be bolting on that intake. Good kill btw. I'm still impressed with that car.

Hey i was there when this happened. Too bad that truck I was driving couldnt keep up for anything. By the end of your roll's all I could ever see was these little red dots. Good race it was alot better than watching jreb race an 04 grand prix

ohh nice nice, well good kill OP! and you guys should try a dig race, since the roll race obviously is in your favor being you have traction issues and have more top end, after winning give the torquey V8 a shot from a dead stop, from the sounds of it, if he can drive, it should be alot close with you pulling up top maybe around 85-90? maybe even as high as 100 if he gets that intake on.
good kill none the less!

He said hes not trying to be a smart *** just wanted to get an idea on how fast your car was. He doesn't really have a car to race you in besides his 78 Jeep CJ5. He could race you in that but it would be more pointless than running his bike lol.

But why would he want to even waste gas on a car he'll destroy? Here's what would happen: the bike would pull the car really hard, and disappear into the distance. The end. I own an '01 cbr929rr and I don't understand what it would prove to race a high 13 second car. If the car called out the bike, it would be a different story.
