Default Attack of the Evos

I walked out to my car to grab a couple things and it was so nice out I decided to go for a drive.

So I'm driving along with a c230 kompressor behind me riding a little too close so I decided to move over and just let him go by. Pretty funny the guys wife couldn't keep her eyes off my car as they rode by but then pops up this blue Evo behind us. Carbon fiber hood, pillar gauges, etc. I take off next to the benz and the evo goes around it and gets behind me. Say i started with a 2 car-car.5 lead and he pulled to about a car by 130 then between 130-150 i started pulling away bad. He got up next to me and we slowed to 40ish, honked 3 times (I barely heard the last one but by then it was too late) he rolled out from the hit and grabbed like 2 cars and held it there till we shut down around 120-130.

So kinda disheartened by that kinda indifferent...couldn't really tell if I should be mad or not. Guy said he had intake/exhaust, pretty sure the boost was not at stock level either. Either way, sick sounding car and def rolled out.

Second Evo, White, carbon fiber hood, exhaust, not sure of anything else.

Saw him get on the highway way up ahead of me so I played some catch up and finally got behind him. Traffic moved over giving us a lane and he took off 2 cars ahead of me. I followed suite and moved over after we passed a couple cars and pulled to about 1/2 a car behind and we shut down around 130. He gave a point and nod of approval and I did the same. Pretty confident I would have edged out a win on that one if we coulda lined up proper but traffic got real heavy so I just got off the highway.

I'm so pissed!! I never get any good street races anymore.. Hell, I'm lucky to even get a freaking GT500 (not that they are fast) or a C6Z06 Vette to run me!! Time to sell the Camaro and start all over again.. Any bids? LOL
BTW nice runs man and I'm loving the car.

^ I agree. Where im at im right in the middle and i have very few cars that make for a good race. I either Kill them or theirs a few pretty built guys that walk all over me.

Good races tugboat. Props for posting a loss. That G8 of yours seems to get it done. But from your other races i would have thought you would have done better vs the evo from a roll.

Missing the honks was a pretty big part of it, I was in the middle of pausing my ipod, closing my sunroof, and rolling down my passenger window and I hear eep...VRRRRROOOOOM...I was like aw ******...and just couldn't pull anything back. Pretty confident that it'll only take an intake, ported tb/im, and a retune and i'll be able to pull on him through all gears instead of just the top of 4th.

Nice races. Anyone know what those Evos trap stock? Ever get your G8 to the track with the mods?

Yeah once after the tune only and about 1500 miles on the car. 13.0 @ 107 was the best, best trap of 108, best 60' of 1.93, and like an idiot I had 3/4 tank of gas, probably coulda seen a 12.99 if not. Comparing the numbers are pretty useless though cause most of my pull didn't come in until ~120mph.

Looks to be about right. Considering those were not near stock EVOs

Stock Evo's trap between 103-105 depending on how crazy the car is out of the box. A few have been known to hit 107 but thats very rare. Most with just intake, exhaust, MBC and tune can trap 108-110, add meth injection with the same mods and people have hit 113-115.

P.S. Good kills

I didn't know the G8 was that fast. Nice work. If I was in the market for a mid size 4 door I'd sure have a hard time taking something like a 5 series or E-class over the new G8. I think Pontiac hit a homerun on that car.

The majority only trap around 100-102MPH in stock form. They aren't that powerful, their low ET's are only due to them having AWD.

Yeah, after the H/C + 2-stage 100/100 shot maybe...

Wesman I see you posting all the time but can never find a post where you mention what you drive... What does the infamous Wesman drive anyways?

Maybe 100-102 if the have a boost leak or someone can't drive. The average for them is around 104 and thats complettly stock. With intake, exhaust and a tune, they should be around 108+

I love evo's so I tend to know what they run and with what mods. Another car I would add to my dream garage. We even have a local guy running high 10's on the stock turbo full weight and pump gas. He has a nasty set-up though, everything else under the hood is changed.

Depends whether they are EVO 8's or 9's too. Most 8's I see trap right around the 99-103mph range. My buddy ran 13.0 @ 99mph on a completely bone stock EVO VIII. 1.78 60'. He's better than your average EVO driver though so his results are not typical. That MPH can go up substantially with simple boltons though.

As usual you're a retard.

I haven't had that car for 3 years. Look at the date of the post.

You really need to get a life, you are beyond pathetic.

If you were a legit member who posted anywhere besides the Street racing section, you would have seen my car. You are nothing more a a ricer troll though, hence why you don't have the slightest clue.
