Default SRT-8 charger vs 99 TransAm

Well, I hate to post this but my wife just smoked me today

She lined her bone stock SRT-8 charger up next to my full bolt-on TransAm for a dig race. On 3 we took of with me fishtailing through first gear. When I finally got traction I was 3 lengths behind and having to play catch-up. I gained back maybe half a car by the end of the quarter and was maybe going 1 mph faster than the charger at that point. We continued beyond the quarter and I was gaining ground slowly but never got closer than 2 cars by 120. Ouch.... I wanted to do a roll race but we didn't have another opportunity. Now, I'm in no way stating that the stock charger will run with my car on the track. I was on street tires for this race and run drag radials at the strip. What I am saying is that the freakin charger is pretty mean for a bone stock 4 door. I wouldn't doubt that the dodge is capable of a 12.9 -13.0 time with my 100 lb wife behind the wheel. I will be taking it to the track pretty soon and plan on having a tune and mopar cold air intake at that time. I'm going to install the mods at the track for before and after reference. I will also be lining up against her again with my TransAm on test & tune night........ I will have my drag radials installed and I will get my revenge

I had he same situation. My wife driving our 300C SRT8 aginst my bolt on 02 SS M6 and she would inch away from 50-60mph to about 110 where she was about a car on me. Under that it was a lock.

You will be happy when you install the Diablo tune and you are able to have WOT upshifts. They suck shifting when stock, there is a delay and less throttle between shifts. AFE II, Diablo, 160 stat, ported tb and Iridium plugs make them pretty quick for a sweet azz 4dr, serriously.

Sounds like you need to go on a diet. ;-)
Or pork up your wife a little bit.

I kill myself sometimes.

Sorry bro, I wouldn't have posted that. Why? you say. Three reasons:
1) You got beat by a slower car.
2) You got beat by a chick.
3) The chick you got beat by was your wife.

Looks like three strikes your out.

My wife and I both laughed at this......

BTW I may have ulterior motives for posting this

I've got a custom tune from a friend on dieselplace.com. Stock airbox and stock exhaust with a muffler delete. The diesel would probably have been a better race as it would have jumped out a length or two on the charger from a dig. It will probably run 13.40s in it's current state.

I feathered it....... if you stall it up any it just melts the street tires.

My wife rolled into the throttle...... those supercar F1s just hooked better.
