Default Quick story .. car vs bike

Want to thank the rider on the Red R6 for having some early morning fun...

Wish we could have hit them again.. Oh well thanks

Im strolling down I-75 (near Mexico) when I see a bike coming up , right behind me in the fast lane ..moving pretty good.

He starts to slow down as he come up to the Z, I go into 3rd with the clutch in till he’s at my bumper.. and I let into it.. he is now at my rear fender on the drivers side as he crouches down and downshifts, I HIT IT.. thinking I was about to get Punked.. by a 1000 ( hell I cant tell till im right beside them) he hits it and were off... 3rd all the way thru 4th I look back to see him slipping about 2 cars down.. and he lifts... so I do...

We come up to traffic as he gets even and I give him the thumbs up... he just looked over and hit it again... Zoooom he was gone thru traffic.. Ga tags btw. So Props and Thanks

Of course this was COMPLETELY MADE UP .. The names and faces of the victims were changed to protect the Indecent.

so....it was an r6, and it was 1000. either it was an r6 (600cc) or an r1 (1000cc) and either way you lost.

Pretty sure he "thought" he was gonna get smoked by a liter bike but raced/realized it was only a 600. Also, in the original post the story says he won by 2 car lengths or so..

yeah i know, i was implying that whether it was an r6 or an r1 he would lose, unless he's trapping around 120 or so.

It takes a ~450rwhp+ F-body or Vette to legitimately hold off/pull a properly-driven modern 600cc sportbike, from what I've heard. And with the OP's setup I would assume he's fairly close to that. So I have no reason to question the story. Good kill

Depends what year R6 it was too. If it was a bit older this could easily happen..

I could see this easily happening with any car over 400 RWHP. From what I've read on here, there are a lot of bike owners who can't ride a bike to its full potential in a straight line. I sprayed a CBR600RR and didn't catch up until 125 or so from a 45 roll.

LOLOL

I could see it happening. Hell, two of the 600s I went against, couldn't ride, so I held them within 2 cars to about 90-100, then going into 4th, they would pull away hard. This was stock. His mods, not the greatest driver, I could see him taking one down like that. Plus, 600s start falling off at around 120, from what I have read. With his gears, him going into 4th...that is what, 110? Keep pulling it out through 4th, I could see him taking one down.

i can tell you my car will walk away from a 600 even with a good rider, starting off in third at 3500 rpm's i can pull about two CAR lengths before i have to shift to fourth. but my car makes 500rwhp NA so i beleive he could have slightly pulled that bike esp. if the rider wasn't up to par.

Definitely possible. A lot of riders can't bring out the full potential of their bikes, not tacking it out to redline like they should. If it was an older R6, then it is easily doable! The R6s aren't really that fast of a bike, atleast in the 600 category. With a built up big cammed 370ci he is definitely making the power.

To the OP, Nice kill.

He beat the rider not the bike... 95% of 600 owners are newbs and squids and dont have a clue how to ride. a good rider can put a 600 into the 9's.

typical bike forum comment. "squids" .......so many haters, i thought bikes were supposed to be fun. I was unaware that they come with strict newbie rules and nicknames.

a 600 in the 9's in stock trim....hardly

Ricky Gadsen ran a stock '05 R6 with only strapped suspension 9.98 @ 135.05mph then backed it up with a 9.93 sec 135.05 mph....

Most 600's stock trap 130ish give a take a few MPH due to drivers. I'm going to say it would take 500 to keep up and 550 to walk a bike.

My little "rice" car weighs only 3150 with driver and I have around 475-500AWHP and I can slowly pull a 600 and I'm auto to boot.

So to the OP....
