Default Bolt-on ls1 vs pullied cobra

So I just put the big and littles on the car friday night so I wanted to test them out on saturday. Well I went down to the local hang out spot and there was a bunch of cobras out. I didnt really wanna race any of them because I didnt wanna loose lol. Well needless to one of the guys with a pullied cobra wanted to race my friend with a c5 z06 but he wouldnt do it because he said he would kill him lol so my friend decided to volunteer me for the race. I have a 99 z28 m6 with bolt ons and it put down 339hp and 342tq. He said that he put down 430hp. He said it was pullied and that was it besides the spray that he wasnt using cause the bottle was empty. Well I figured what the hell and I might as well just so I can try out the new tires So I said lets do a 30 roll since my tires dead hook. So we line it up and he honks it off. He jumped a little bit on me at first but when he shifted I gained it back. After that he slowly pulled away from me till we stopped at 115 or 120. At the end he had me by 2 cars. Man I love these new wheels and tires lol. Not to bad for a bolt on untuned camaro or at least I didnt think so. Thanks for reading.

woulda have a clue honestly as to what you might dyno, im an LT1 guy and i dont even know specs on that cam or know anyone currently running it sorry!

but going with the biggest cam out there isnt always the best way to go about things if that is a big cam and it sounds like it is.

Yes I did and it was really rich! I posted the graph in the dyno section awhile back. Ill see if I can find it for ya. I figured I would rather it be rich than lean.

Good death. Before my tune, I ran side by side with a pullied cobra. I had a passenger and the cobra had the top down.

I'd like to be the first to call on a pullied Cobra putting down 430rwhp. Unless (somehow) the pulley was his only mod.

With 344rwhp your car must be a beast

Uh..sorry man...this is one time I have to say you're wrong.

we dont' know the size of the pulley, the other mods, nor the type of dyno. With all the variables, 430rwhp is very plausible.

I could very well be wrong. But if he really does have a pullied Cobra making 430rwhp then I would wager two things. One, he really doesn't have any other mods (K&N filter maybe?), and two, he didn't have much reason to swap pullies.

Back in 03 my dad had a 03 Cobra with midpipe, catback, cai, and a pulley and the car made 450rwhp.
