Me vs. Newer Roush
I've been reading all these street racing stories and it just made me want to post mine. Last year around august I was headed home early in the morning still hung over and I pulled into the bank to get some money out of the atm. I noticed the car in front of me was a newer black mustang either a GT or Roush. He gets his money, pulls out, I get my money, pull out and get up next to him. We pull up to a red light and he's behind me, I wanted to race since I can hardly find any races. Light turns green and I take off normal and he cuts the car off next to me to get beside me and I hear him start to get it so I mash it to the floor and were side by side, I noticed it was a roush and I could hear the supercharger whine and though oh **** so I grabbed second and as soon as I do, I'm rollin through a wet spot in the road. SO I mash it and get sideways and he gains about three cars on me. By the time we got to the next light, I had probably caught back up a car and a half. It was great, considering I was hung over as hell. Just thought I'd share my fun with yal!

There is a lot to be disappointed about. The price to performance ratio isn't very good. Plus that blower is WAY too small for that car.

They do look good but damn it not worth the money just for looks.
I've heard they are pretty good on a road course, never driven one on a course though. In fact I drove it for two blocks and turned around and went back. The salesman wasn't happy about that. He told me it would impress me and I told him if it did I'd buy it. I wasn't impressed. They run out of breath way to soon.

Ya.. i wasn't too fond of it. I was expecting to get raped hardcore. It did make my hangover go away though when I heard the roushcharger whining. Though I had a decent opponent to go up against

Nice run OP.
IDK about roush's. I'm torn. They are pricey and the 1320 times are quite disappointing, but they car pulls 1.0+ G's. Also, the blowers may suck, but I think that's why they got the Ford factory install warrantied deal.

just a thought, being that 1.0 G's is pretty impressive, i wonder if they used a small blower for the instant snap you'd need in a tight road course, and not the top end you'd get with a larger charger? just a thought but if the car was designed for tight turns and quick bursts, wouldnt a little blower suite that well?
