i was on the way to get some Mexican food for lunch today with one of my buddys that works for me. well we are almost there when i see this mustang up ahead, it said gt on it and was a 99+ but it was weird that he didn't have the 3 bar taillights there were shaped the same but all one block. anyway his exhaust sounded really good. so i gave him a rev to see if he wanted to play. noone ever wants to waste their time racing a SUV. but he was actually game, we took off and i waited for him to hit it then i just planted the gas, we were even for a second then i slowly walked by him he was at my rear bumper by 110 or so. i didn't look at the speedo but it was half way or more thru 3rd. we went a couple times with similar results. one time he did get the jump on me and i was pulling him back in but he quite so i guess he could say he won that one. but the guy was really surprised and asked what i had, we were going 60 or so and i hate yelling so i just said a 6 liter. and he shrugged.
p.s. what year has those tail lights

Machs have that little **** on the side that says Mach 1, and the raised hood scoop. I think different wheels as well.

they have shaker hood...that black thing coming out through the hole in hood...5 spoke flat looking wheels...rolled tips, badges...grill and spoiler although lots of gt's have those...and black spoiler...and the interior is way different

i win one every so often, but usually i drive around barely breathing on the gas trying to squeak out better than 14 mpg.

Good kill! I really like those TBSS's, very cool rides.

LOL at the gas mileage thing. Everyone asks what I get with the G8, but I just laugh. I've never checked it and I dont care. My foot is pretty much to the floor or it's parked.

i totally agree, my buddy who's got a Cobalt SS/SC, always jokes about gas mileage and asks me what kinda mileage you get after stating how great of mileage he gets.

I always respond i didnt buy the car for gas mileage, otherwise i'da bought a fucken TDI or smart car.

But 14's not too bad for a big SUV especially with a 6.0!
