S10 vs v6 stang
Well i finallly got my new truck, an well heres the story.
Its a 2000 s10 4x4 4.3L V6, I was going out to eat last night running 60 on the highway. This car comes flying up on my *** an brights me, the guy hits it an goes well past 100 around me.
My friend an I were like WTF, so i mash it an go flying around him to make my point.
We get into town an thats when i realized it was a V6 stang, I saw him mash the gas so i did to. My friend an I were like WTf again cause he wasn't able to get around me until we had to hit the brakes because some traffic..............
I wish i would of been in my Z with true daul exhaust so i could of scared the **** out of him

Probably a good choice. I live in the midwest as well, the winters certainly do blow. Its pretty sad my 383 gets better HWY mileage than my 96 4.3 S-10. But Like you stated 4x4 is definitely a plus for crappy weather.

well he slowed down man then when we got into town after i passed him at say 97mph. In town i was doing like 35 or 40 an isaw him come up on me an gun it wright when he got to my bumper. I mashed it an stayed ahead, this trucks got more ***** then I thought. I'm kind of mad though my bro is selling his 02 gmc sierra 2500 with the 6.0 motor for the price i paid for my truck now.

oh hell no! If the stang was racing you would of got your *** kicked plain and simple. Iv had 2 s10s and 1 Sonoma. Get them past 65 and there are no ***** at all. Your story is false sir, or you just thought something else happened that what really went on.

i beg to differ with this because if its a 3.8 they are dogs. i had a 98 blazer that from a dig would put 3-4 cars on two of my friends 3.8 mustangs both have cat back exhaust and k&n drop ins. one of them wanted to do a race from 30-80 and i still put 2 cars on him so i dont know how yours were so slow if you couldnt outrun factory minivan motors.

It depends on the 3.8. The 94-98 3.8s with 150hp were 16s cars on a good day. The 99-04 3.8s are *capable* of running low 15s if it's a 5spd. ~16.0 is a good rule of thumb.

Oh it was close probably a roll on the highway from 35 an he gunned it when he got to my back bumper. I punched it an he made it to my passenger door, but no farther then that. We were doing probably 65-70 befor i had to hit the brakes.

all fords run differently, some were just made to be turds some werent plain and simple. he might of found one of the manys turds out there, i ran an 07 4.0 with mine and beat him by 1 and 1/2 to 2 cars. same cars, i had a few less miles. today we rode in my stang and got to 80 at a spot on the road then got in his he got to 70. the stang he ran could've been one like the one i ran before so i think he could've beat it. but just to be on the safe side we'll get together and run em sometime.
