LT1 vs 6.0L GTO and 2002 SLP SS Well last night we were heading to the local spot for some late night runs. I was heading down the hwy and ran across a guy that I ran on the hwy before with a 2002 SS. He put about 3-4 cars on me the last time we ran from around a 50 punch and my intake boot was busted all around the throttle body. Since then I have replaced the boot and added a cold air intake and dropped a little weight in the car. So he sees me coming up on him and I switch lanes to go get beside him and he punches it with a car length separation. He pulls for just a second and as I top 3rd I find myself pulling the car length in. I shift to 4th and continue to pull him in slowly and once I got to the passenger door he lets of and gives me the thumbs down
I let it go.....
2nd run 6.0L GTO Exhaust Custom Tune
This car kicked my *** twice last weekend by 5-6 cars and he set me out 2 and the move. I was on bald street tires and spun like the tires were soaked in transmission fluid! Any way we bolted up some ET streets and took it out last night for a rematch. First run I heated up the tires pretty good. He gave me one car no move. I left around 2500rpm and the car just sat sideways. He made the car up pretty quick launching of the TCS. It was a pretty even race all the way to the finish with him winning only by maybe a pumper. Next race my friends drives my car and they run heads up. He heats up the tires and the clutch! They leave the line and the LT1 jumps out a car and the clutch starts slipping, crazy thing is he keeps pulling away from the GTO
He ends up putting 3-4 cars on the GTO by the finish with the clutch slipping as he went through the gears. Strange but a wins a win.

Actually, I outran the gto from a dig, heads up.. He said he ran with tcs off and spun. I left and got out pretty decent but the clutch was hanging a bit on the 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift.. No big deal. We were going to run again but 305lt1's clutch was pretty heated and I didnt want to risk finishing it off.. It's just a simple street race for fun.. They are running again this weekend after usher gets his new clutch put in. like i said its just a simple street race for FUN!

I have pulled at least 150-175 pounds out of the car. So it's not impossible to out run a GTO or real in a SS on the hwy! I have no reason to lie about this race. There should be a vid next weekend of the next run between us. And ThackerSS or Jucied 347 what ever you want to call yourself over on ITS-Stock.net posting this thread up on your gay site, we called your no show *** out with 3 LT1 camaros against your CAI/Tune/Exhaust/under drive pullie's and drag bag 6.0. GTO!!! Why wont you show up and run your car like you run your keyboard!!! And these are not your slicks, STRANGLY SOMEONE BROKE INTO YOUR GARAGE THE NITE YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO RUN BIGTYRE'S MUSTANG AND CUT YOUR SLICKS HOURS BEFORE THE RACE! REMEMBER!!!!!!!!!!

It's complete bullshit. I know the guy in the GTO, he left the line and tried to peddle it and his car shifted to second at about 15 mph and wouldn't downshift back into first. He backed out of it about 330 feet into the race.
As far as him pulling the SLP SS, that's also bullshit.

Hey Jimmy, take a look at the car he is talking about outrunning ls2 gto's and ls1 SS's with.
That should explain it. Second picture is the before, first picture is the after.
