my first and worst race ever in the monte ss Well tonight I decided to drive my monte since me and a few friends finished it up yesterday. Went to the bay met a bunch of friends down there and had a good time. Welll towards the end of the night my buddy stopped up with his monte ss, which has my old 305 in it . He put an intake carb, and full exhaust on it. Any way as we were leavin all my buddies wanted us to line up, I was hesitant at first bucause Im still running stock rear end with open diff and one almost bald right rear tire. So we line up three beeps come and go and we take off up in smoke, well needless to say at about 95mph I just managed to catch enough speed to finaly walk his car, In front of all my friends. How pathetic is my car, roughly 395-415 horse car and thats the best I got. They called me and told me I left about 150ft patch of rubber but still, This is why I didnt want to race until I could get some traction, What a joke!!!!!!!!!

I would love to bring it to syracuse but Its only a 3 speed nonlock up with 3:73's at 60 Im at 3000 rpm's. Im just wondering hard hard this car will launch with d/r. I have a 3200 stall in it and I am wondering if its to much?
