01 z06 vs 5.0 procharged vs evo VIII I just got the z06 and my buddy was driving his bolt on procharged 5.0 and an evo pulls up next to us on the parkway. So we slow down to 35, and went to 135 my car pulled by about 2 carsmaybe more. The evo after said he was turbo back exhaust and tuned and he was running mid 12s, the 5.0 beat the evo by about 1 car

Ummm...EVO is not an STi. It sure can. Mod for mod they will be faster. The EVO IXs can even dip into the high 11's with just simple boltons and on pump gas.
A buddy's STi has run a mid 12 with just a COBB tune, Perrin upper pipe and a catback.
