Another local Mustang kill.

Another local Mustang kill. Well im dropping my daughter this afternoon at her mothers after a night at her daddies and who do i see driving by? A local 02 Mustang GT that has been talking **** about my Z28 ever since i bought the car last April. He lives just down the road so i stop in to talk and he immediantly asks to run em;.
So we line up on the road right in front of the ex's house and he says go on 3. I flip my linelock switch, pump the brakes, stall up to 2300, and sure enough as soon as i put my hand on the switch he says 3. Drop the switch and away we go. I start spinning horribly and start sliding sideways and say to hell with it and stay in it. As im spinning im still sitting at his quarter panel and he has traction.
After i finally catch i play catch up for a second and blow past him and at about 95mph i have 2 cars on him and he lets off. This leaves me saying wtf? So i turn around and head back to his house. Pull up and as he is getting out i see him shaking his head. I ask why he let off and he simply says "we went a full 1/4 so i let off.".
Im thinking to myself no way in hell that was a 1/4 and i voice my opinion. Needless to say he just says "Man, i thought i would take you." and continues shaking his head. Must be a little embarrased since his gf is sitting at his house and his little brother who relayed the **** talking to me was in his car during the race.
Long story short i tell him he's lucky he let off and im not on radials, and he says my car is alot faster than he thought. I say good race, nice car, and take off.
This kid has been pissing me off for quite sometime now, and even though he let off, he still knows who has the faster car. So i can't complain right?
My mods are in sig. 02 GT's mods are as follows:
CAI, 75MM TB & Upper Plenum, Short throw kit, 4.10's, L/T's, ORX, Catback.
I can't wait to catch him on radials.

Haha it just feels good to put him in his place. Not necassarily bragging. 
Haha idk. For some reason alot of people in this area get a catback and an intake in there 2v's and think everyone owes them something? Maybe you need to make a trip to ID and show em a real stang? Haha. On another note theyre are 2 cobras in town laying down some nice #'s.

In 96 I had an LT1 car that ran low 12's at over a mile high (Denver and Pueblo) probably an eleven second car and it didn't have a power adder which for that time it was a pretty fast car. Is that faster than some here sure. Does it count now, nope. When you line that **** up the bullshit stops. The first one there wins end of story. I've lost to older cars and cars that I should of pounded but they were set up better. That excuse doesn't hold water.
