94Z cc306 + full bolt-ons vs Civic on spray (vid)
A while back after heading to the local burger joint a few friends and I ran into some import guys with some decently modded cars. After we ate a friend asked them if they wanted to race a modded LS1 Z but they declined cuz its pretty fast (on the street at least). Instead they asked which was the slowest and they assumed my LT1 would be a good race for a Civic on spray.
Anyways, I figured the car was fast since they were confident enough to call me out. So we talked real quick about what roll they wanted since I pretty much don't hook at anything under 55mph. Guy said that a 30mph roll would be better for him even though I said my car is gonna spin real bad. Before we left I told him to keep his distance in case the car fish tails into his lane.
We get to speed and I down shift into 1st (IIRC) and proceed to go on 3 honks. I give him the jump and before I get through the next gear the guy is pretty much car lengths behind. Don't know what mods the guy had other than nitrous but it was fuc*ing loud when he went WOT. I asked him if he wanted another run but declined.
Great race and good sportsmanship!!!

I think he said it was a 75 but I dont really remember. The car had spray, full exhaust, weight reduction and some lighter wheels. It had a crazy paint job too, just too bad it didnt run so good. At least the guy didnt make any ricer excuses afterwards cuz it seems like most import guys around here get all butt hurt when they lose.

I raced a hatch with a b16 vtec on a 55 dry with full bolt ons and tune while back.
From a 55 roll i had about 2-1/2 cars til 110 and creeping still. Then from a 20 roll was even worse, by the time i hit 90 he was atleast 5+ cars behind, not sure if he let off or ran out of bottle.

I think honda boy has been watching to much of The Fast and The Furious. Good Kill man, im glad to hear they were good sports about it and that they picked the one of yall that would be the best match.
I used to go with two friends of mine me in my Z, bud in his cam and boltons 04 GTO, and Danny in his 900 whp TA. Any time somebody got called out by a ricer it was one of them, never the car they have a 20% chance of an actual race with.
