SSR vs Evo VIII
I was going over the hill earlier tonight to get some 100 octane and a Chevy SSR with two guys in it was behind me. I've only seen a couple of them on the road but it looked lowered. When it pulled up next to me I could also hear a throaty aftermarket exhaust. They were egging me on to race so we ended up taking a run when traffic opened up. It was a close race until that 3rd honk. For a split second I heard a nice V8 at full throttle in my left ear but before I knew it they were in my rear view. I know they're heavy weights but dayum.

Thanks yeah you don't see that many of them. It looked really good lowered too. First one I saw was the black SSR Buschemi's character drove around in that movie called "The Island".
The Evo has all the boltons and cams on a 20G turbo. I had it running on the 100 octane tune last night too. Figure about 430whp on a dynojet.

Thanks dude. The part I'm most proud of isn't the power increase or handling improvements. I've worked hard and spent extra cash to make sure everything under the hood looks 100% OEM. California cops twilight as smog ****'s these days and they can make you pop the hood if you're pulled over. It can get very expensive if they don't like what they see. Knock on wood.

Didn't you hear? Street racers recently moved ahead of pedophiles on the **** list. They have no rights. And the icing on the cake is that those people who used to get simple speeding tickets or even a "gross display of speed" citation are being pulled over for street racing these days. There doesn't even need to be another car anymore. It's a crackdown.
