Default took out a C6 Z06

One of the local ''rich kids" has a Lexus ISF but showed up at the local hang out w/ his dad's C6 Z06. He pulled in/revved till he hit the limiter (retart) and left. He then came back 20 minutes later in similar fashion just as I was leaving.

Needless to say he stalked me for a few miles then slowed to 45mph and we both down shifted (me in 2nd/him I have no idea).
After a few blips of the throttle I hit it first with him right on me.
2nd-3rd shift I'm ahead ~1 car length
3rd-4th shift I pull ~ another car and am slowly walking away till 110mph then shut it down. He gives me thumbs up and turns off LOL

I've beaten up on him pretty bad when he had the ISF so guess he was planning on some revenge, afraid not rich boy!

*He's probably not the best driver but I'll gladly take the W!

Nice kill dude, silly rich kids. Next time, punch him right in the mouth for possibly puking the needle bearings from the LS7 rockers into the engine.

must be the driver because trapping 125 should not equate to 2 cars by 110 on a c6z06. Either way nice win!

OP has 4.10s. My dad owns a Z06 and I get to drive it frequently. At 45 he probably left it in second so you are in the basement as far as the powerband is concerned. A car that traps at least 125 based on the info in his sig with 4.10s shouldn't have any issue taking advantage of that situation to 110 mph. As soon as they get going faster than that, the Z06 will pull but that wasn't the race. Good kill!

Am I missing where the OP lists his car?

Definitely driver mod lacking. Seen a few C6Zs run low 12's and high 11's @120'ish mph at our local track. It's a fast car but people always throw up those really fast times posted by really really good drivers in excellent DA and preach them as if all C6Zs run that way. So this is a very credible kill for a car running low 11's @125mph.

Nice kill.

If the most you can get in a C6 Z06 is a high 11 then you need to bring it back to the dealer apologize and go buy a Camry. The record for a Stock C6 Z06 is by Jaimie Furman and it is 10.98 at 129mph. And on some DR's it is 10.85 at 131. Basically if you can only manage to run 2 or 3 tenths faster than a C5 Z06 in a C6 Z06 you should give up racing... it is just not your thing.

I agree with your logic except Furman has a ton of experience and time in the car when he gets those amazing times. It won't be duplicated easily. Your logic is spot on but the example is the exception rather than the rule. Not many will get a C6 ZO6 to run those times in stock trim or stock with DR's.

Yea but seriously I am 20 and have gotten in the past my STOCK c5 Z06 to run a 12.11 over and over with some BFG Radials. If my track was not in the south with 86* temp and 100% humidity I would be easy 11's. Not to mention that Gulfport MS does not prep nearly as nice as those Maryland tracks.

No doubt but what did Furman and Ranger, I believe they are two different people and I'm too lazy to look it up, do in the C5 ZO6. They both ran some pretty rediculous times. Not saying your **** is slow but those guys are serious about it. Do a search and see what happens to people that question their results or run faster than them.

Great kill OP. There are many C6 Z06's around here I have yet to see a stock one with street tires run low 11's. I'm not saying it can't be done I think it would take an awsome driver in great conditions to run one.

If you run faster than that with the same mods tell them and see what they say. Be ready for a **** storm is all I'll say about that. I hope you get there and I would love to see what they say. Good luck man.

Nice kill OP. Even with a bad driver those cars can be fast.

They have a kid around here who has a GT00 and his dad has a c6 ZO6, when he first got his GT500 I walked him pretty bad cuz he was a cocky *** 18 yr old and couldnt drive for ****, always said he was gonna bring out his dads c6 zo6 but never did. Im cool with him now and he aint so cocky anymore either, lol. Plus his dad is thinking about selling the gt500, giving the son the c6 zo6 and getting liek a SL65 AMG or some **** like that, lol.
