ws6 vs gxp So my buddy has an 08 gxp rated at 303 hp with the 5.3L auto trans. He has cat back, and a cai, with a tune. I have a 98 ws6 with magnaflow cat back and k&n's with a healthy 22K miles. I looked up the times for both cars. Mine was around 13.3 and his 14.6. Yet he still thinks he has a chance since his car ran 13.3 on a dyno or something..

Racing a GXP is like racing a impala SS. They both have the same 5.3L and I'm sure you know that. Anyway, they can haul but it's no match against ur car. I've already murdered at least 2 impala ss's and a monte carlo ss where I live. For some reason, majority of the impala ss owners i run into on the streets seem to think they can take me. Even if ur ws6 is stock they still no match if the gxp or impala ss is stock.
