Default 99ta vs 73 nova *video*

Raced my brother in law in his nova. was a good race. his car ran consistant 12.11s at 108 last year and he installed a bigger cam for this year. he was at the track day, but it wasn't running very well. I was n/a for the run.

Was there something wrong with the nova? A built 454 should run alot better than that

the nova will be in the high 11s this yr. obviously its not as built as it could be. a 454 is unlimited. it only traps 108-110. and the 30 roll took away his adv.

how exactly should a built 454 run?

Well my buddies camaro has a 383 w/ stock double hump heads that runs 11.7s in the heat of the day on motor. His dad has a 3rd gen camaro, mildy built 454 even drives it on the city street and highway on the weekends and it runs bottom 7's in the 1/8th.

yeah. thats why we did a roll. he cuts 1.5 60's and about pulls the wheels, out trap speeds are close though. like I said these motors can be built to however you want them.

Great race! Those Novas are awesome looking cars. Looks like he has a damn nice mild setup on his. I bet it's extremely driveable.
