Lost for the first time tonight
I live in a fairly small town & have enjoyed being top dog for anything remotely streetable around here. My car is a homebuilt turbo ls1 that does good on the gas mileage yet is pretty quick.
Well tonight I had a young fellow that has a kawasaki 1000r or something like that, that wanted to race. I am very ignorant of motorcycle models, all I know is it is a new kawasaki 1000cc that you have to lean over the gas tank to ride.
His buddy said it was geared down some, piped & some kind of controller? I have raced about a half dozen motorcyles before without any problems but never knew what they were exactly. He wouldn't race from a dig because he said it would wheelie to bad. So we did a 40 MPH roll.
He jumped out on me by one bike length instantly then I started reeling him in but only got to his rear tire. He was willing to go over 140 which I was not so I let off. He got me fair & square. I tried again with me in a lower gear plus he gave me the hit. Same damn thing but I spun this time, I reeled him back in the same as before.
I don't know if this is a fast bike in the bike world or not. Of course he will telll everyone that he kicked my ***. I was running 14#'s of boost on pump gas with regular radial tires.

I wouldn't even count that as a loss. Bikes don't interest me in any way whatsoever. When anyone posts a race vid and there are bike/car races in it I blank out until the real racing starts again.

If it was a zx-10r you raced then your car is stout (duh its a 10sec car) to be able to reel him any. You were racing a 10 sec bike that traps somewhere in the 140 range.
Honorable death...... your car would probably rape my bike.

Well you guys are making me feel a lot better LOL. My car is a truck manifold TC 78 turbo. Turbo 400, 9" rear with 2.75 gears, I was running my 28X12 MT sr radials.
I thinks the side of the bike had a something something 10r on the side. It was also flamed out with true flames. It was a pretty cool looking bike.
Here are couple of pics if you're interested. (of my car)

I agree...except I don't race them at all. I know better. I'd like one, but as far as bikes racing cars, it's like horses racing cars...you have to kick the horse pretty hard or its not worth the time and I still don't want to watch because I don't care about horses haha.

damn that is an impressive loss, 1k's are fast and it sounds like this one had some work and a decent rider. To be able to reel him in like that is amazing. I hope when i get around to my truck manifold turbo build it will be close to as good as yours

im a little confused on the truck manifold's. what exactly do you mean? from the pics it looks like shorty headers facing the wrong way
if someone could explain that would be great!
and no exhaust off that turbo has to just sound sweeeeeet!!
