anyone out there had an encounter with a 370Z yet? well if you are in a A4 LS1 pretty close to stock, i would suggest u dont even try lol... these cars f*cken PULL.... HARD!
i was getting on the freeway pretty agressively when i see the Z behind coming up quick, passes me and keeps goin. i knew he was calling me out cuzz earlier before the freeway, i kinda accelarated to pass him ONLY lol anyways... i catch up to him and were going about 60 or 70 went down to regular drive(3rd) (maybe i shouldve gone all the way down to second)..signaled and off we go... heres the funny part though... he took off and made it seem like i didnt lol... i dont think it was modded. Im REALLY hoping it was...lol... anyways.. i see him hit his brakes and we get next to each other again but im trying to give him the thumbs up but he thinks i want a round 2. so as soon as i get next to him, he gets on it again.... im flashing my high beams to make him slow down but everytime i get next to him he just takes off...so EVENTUALLY he gets off the freeway and i pull next to him and the guy was pretty cool.. he said it was completely stock... if anyone has gone up with a 370Z please pm me lol....DEATH by 3.7L

ur not the only one my buddy just lost to one. hes got a lid and is a six speed
2002 ss and he got pulled by three and a half cars. it was a 30roll to 120mph
also i was in the car he had no passengers but i dont think it would of made a diffrence. he pulled without mercy and it got worse up top. good death


funny thing we thought we would of pulled up top and won. but no way those things get stronger and stronger.

That's just crazy, I have read they run a 13.4 stock, they must be way under-rated, and that 13.4 must be bullshit as well. Of course for the money of a 370z, I would just get me a c5z, mod it, and completely destroy one, but that's just my personal opinion.

According to this thread, highflow cats, catback, and tune put them at 300+ whp. A gain of 50+. Pretty damn good IMHO.

i dont feel too bad anymore....lol,,, and yes shopping spree coming up... lol any ideas for first mods... like decent mods... not like cold air and lid...would u guys go headers or cam first? or maybe suspension first? any opinions are greatly apprciated lol

You wouldn't want to do a cam with stock manifolds. I'd say full exhaust / lid / tune would be a good foundation to start with. Then I'd go with the H/C/I.

I'm kidding.. but that's usually the consensus reply to these kind of deaths around here. Get a stall.. that seems to be the best bang for your buck mod in an A4.

I agree with phantom, lid, full exhaust, maybe a cutout, and then worry about the H/C/I.

Nice run. But just because he says he was stock DOESNT MEAN HE WAS. Most ppl just say that so you can think your own car is slow like damn i lost to a stock 3.7 lol..The way you say he pulled you doesnt sound like he was STOCK AT ALL. Most times i hear for these cars are anywhere from 13.4 to like 13.7 and trapping around 103 on average.. Unless your car is down on power like and isnt performing 100% like trouble codes or something i dont think he shouldve pulled you that bad if any at all!
Ive seen some run at the track and the BEST ive seen from one was a 13.6

watch out for the new NISMO 370... conservatively rated at 350hp and 276 ft lbs... the synchro rev match trans makes a big difference too.

I should have stayed out with you man! I would have loved to get a shot at that car he would have been tripping after beating an ls1 then going up against an lt1...lol

But ya get your spark plug's replaced and you should gain 10-15hp back. Im going to keep an eye out for him!

Yeah as far as my car being 100%... no lol I am in desperate need of new spark plugs!!! Any suggestions on some good ones? I hear ngk's are pretty good... Or should I just go with regular ones? Anyone in the Fresno area know of some long tubes for sale? As far as
my current mods... Not much... K&n filter,slp cold air box but the stock lid is still there..flowmaster muffler only (lol I know... I bought it with that already on)... Bmr subframe connectors.. Pan.h bar strut tower brace and wheels and tires... I worked on the exterior first because it looked like sh*t!!! Lol
