LS1 TA vs. 05+ GT Stang I was heading home from dinner last night cruising on the interstate with the t-tops out full from the all u can eat ribs. I was rolling in the fast lane at 70 and I passed a Mustang that was a couple lanes over. I was ahead of him by like 10-12 car lengths when he jumps over into the lane next to me and catches up quick and lines up beside me.
He was in the gear he wanted to be in when he rolled up beside me because his **** was loud and sounded sexy as ****. Well I quickly put mine into 3rd and we slowed to 60mph. As soon as I heard him go I floored it and put a car on him immdiately I might have gotten a little more on him than that car but he was right there till 120 when I shut down.
We lined up one more time from 60 again and I got him by a car and a half and help it till I shut down at 115.
The old lady gave me props on the second run she said "you whooped that ***, didnt you?"
I think the Stang had an exhaust but not sure. I have lid, k&n, slp loudmouth, A4...

I have heard ONE shitty sounding sn95 or newer stang...but...I think its a 94 or 95 (5.0), so that could be the reason. He has a ghetto *** before the rear tire exhaust, and only on the driver side...and the pipe almost looks like our stock Y pipe (the flat *** part). Other then that, all 03/04Cobras, 2v's, 3v's, 4v's, ect, sound ******* amazing.

Yes 99.9999% of mustangs with any exhaust sounds like a beast we just happened across that 1 that's in phx.

Nice runs! I haven't got a chance to race a new stang yet.
Most mustangs that have a loudmouth exhaust sound like crap too, my buddy had an 03 terminator he put a loudmouth on and it sounded like a whoopie cushion. Same for another guy I know with an 02 GT.

. Mine is raspy too, but once above 3k it sounds great. Under 2k, it sounds great as well. But I need a new set up....already.

I had LM1s on my AB Mach....stock H-pipe it was NICE...I think where they turn to **** is with an O/R midpipe. THat enhances the raspy clacking. STock H pipe, sounds deep/mean IMO.

X54765 on the LM1 being to raspy, and if you take out that muffler and swap it with a bullet it's still too raspy from 2k-3k. That's why I said **** it and had my exhaust guy just weld a straight pipe where mine used to be. That is before I sold my Camaro. 
Sometimes I think I never should've got married...
I'll tell you what though, after running straight pipes and having people over and over stop to tell me how bad *** it sounded I will probably run them on the next car I get!
