C5 vs widebody amg

C5 vs widebody amg my car is mostly stock C5 (cat back is straight pipes and has a cold air...not sure of dyno #'s)
Went to lunch early to look for some gifts for my daughters 4th birthday. I leave work and pull onto the highway, slowly merge in. Traffic is light so I am cruising at about 65 when a grey sedan starts changing lanes and coming up fast. I thought it was just some punk in a big jap sedan. As he gets right beside me I look over and see HUGE fender flares and realize its an AMG car. Well he just punches it and takes off.
I floor it ( damn you 2.73 gears!!! ) and at about 100 or so I had reeled him in some, but he had me by a good car or more. i tried to get beside him again, but he jumped ahead.
Finally, we get side by side going about 70 and i was just going to give the dude a thumbs up and he smiles and takes off again! I was kinda expecting this and had the car down in 3rd already. So he didn't pull me at all.
I took a fender or so lead and kept pulling slowly to about 130mph to 140-150mph, after that i started pulling harderlast i looked at the speedo i was touching 170
I had about 3 cars on him at that point and was hard on the brakes.
I dropped back to the slow lane and he pulled back up beside me. He gave me a thumbs up and said my car was nice. I asked what model his car was but over both of our exhausts, I couldnt hear anything other than AMG. Then he pointed down at the car and said 461 horses. I told him the car was bad ***. And with that he floored it and took off again, i dropped over another lane for my exit and went to toys r us with a big smile on my face.

My guess is that's probably a CLK55 with the DTM wide body kit, which is readily-ish available rather than the CL55. There are very, very few body kits for the CL and I've never seen a wide body for one, and even still it's a tank of a car! My money would be that you raced the 493hp supercharged version, and that he has the oh-so-notorious intercooler pump failure and doesn't know it. With the IC pump out on the car, either they lose power from the heat soak or the car shuts the supercharger down via the clutch. I'm not trying to be a jerk at all, but my guess is he didn't have all 493 horses on tap. However, he still lost, so good work! Spank those pesky Benz owners!!!
