Default Beat a busa

not with my car though. On my GSXR1000. My first race with the bike. I just got it and did all the mods to it.

My bike
2006 suzuki gsxr1000
leo vince exhaust
16/44 gearing (think 4.11's)
shinko street non-dragradial
lowered
stretched 6 inches
weighs 135 soaking wet
foot shifted

His
2009 suzuki hayabusa
brock alien head exhaust
17/45 gearing
shinko ultra soft
lowered
stretched 6 inches
weighs 245 butt naked and after a dump
power commander 111
no air filter
air shifter

first race 60-160 with me getting the jump. I jumped out a good 2 bikes maybe 3 and stayed that way until we let out.

second race same thing basically

third race the busa gets to stretch its legs... I take the jump and pull ahead like usual but these races were 60-186 (top speed limiter) and he was able to come back and beat me by a wheel right at 186. keep in mind I currently don't even have lower fairings on the bike. so I was at a disadvantage there.

fourth race same deal we stopped at 186 and was dead *** even with him.

Plus then his bike is heavier as well. I plan to get the tuning software for this bike and get a tune on it and spray it.

good kill.. im honestly not surprised.. your bikes probably at least 50 pounds lighter, plus 100 less pounds on rider.. new literbikes are no joke.

Sounds right to me. My brother had an 06 GSXR1K completely stock, I had exhaust, BMC, & tune. He always beat me by about 1.5 bikes from 50-140. Of course, that doesn't happen anymore.

That's what I was thinking. Must have been one hell of a race. That's two bad *** street bikes going at it.

assuming equal riding abilities that would be the outcome of those bikes all day long. A busa won't pull on a GSXR1000 till around 180. Hence why i'd never own a busa.
