Default lunchtime fox snack

So I turn onto a 4 lane after a run for the border in my 94 ls1 swapped z28 and what pulls up beside me but a beautiful fox mustang with bullet wheels. He has 4.6 emblems on the side and cams louder than my polluter. I was going to head over the interstate to work but saw he was getting on the in ramp so I jumped on to play. I kept him behind me in 4th doing about 55 so he'd get the hint. He took the bait and pulled beside me. I dropped to 3rd and waited for the hit expecting the worst. I was running about 5 grand when he hit it, I was ready and instantly stopped his pull and put a car on him before we caught traffic in 4th gear. Nice car and ran pretty strong....I was stoked to get my 4th race in 3 days...watch out pewter...I'm catching ya. He did a ricer flyby in a mustang and wouldn't slow down so I assume he was pissed.

I'd venture his car is good for low 12s by the way I pulled him...any ideas what a stock 4.6 swapped fox might run?..he definately wasnt stock

I had my cutout closed and my stock exhaust is restrictive, my tuner claims I gain up to 30 hp with it open. It feels stronger but I don't know that its quite 30.

Good kill! Those swapped foxes are badass rides. When are you getting yours to the track?

I'm going to Charlotte on the 13th to race the 1/4...unless my friend with another fox wants to run the local 1/8th. Either way I figure I'll see mid 11s or mid to low 7s. I ran bottom 12s w/o cam and intake so it should pick up quite a bit.

A guy a work with has a 4.6 5 speed from an 03 GT swapped into his 90 lx hatch. He let me drive it and I took it through 1st and 2nd WOT. It did not seem too quick to me. My 5.0 felt faster, and my stock Camaro is definately a lot faster. Just FYI for you guys, they aren't all that quick in stock form at least.

this guy was far from stock, but the 4.6 is not a light engine so I can see a stock one not being that impressive

lucky for me I had a drink back @ work, so I just had tacos and burritos sliding around or I may not have even raced. BTW that reminds me of drivers ed where I had just bought a big gulp before going on the course...went around a curve and bam..it fell out of the oversized cupholder and all over the passenger side seat and floorboard

nice kill man
thnx Shov, whats done to the firebird?...been in any races yet?

hmmm....I knew I made the right call swapping in an LS1 instead of a 4.6...this would never happen to me

good kill!

Nice kill O.P!

I sure hope it was a four-valve in that fox as I can't see any legit reason why someone would swap a 5-liter for a 2-valve?

Exactly! I would much rather take a 5.0 than a 2 valve 4.6, and I have owned both. But my LS1 is even better than both of them

i would still rather have a 5.0 based engine in a fox over an n\a 4v 4.6

I'll take a 93 Coupe, Black on black with a KB Termi motor swap

Good kill, that's alot of runs for 3 days.
