Default TT GTO @ 10lbs vs T67 Supra (minus brake boost @ 20lbs)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkdieZVZAWU

I still have a lot to do, along with more fuel, since these turbos aren’t working very hard right now.

The supra is built to the gills minus fuel. T67 kit, full exhaust, built head, hks cams+gears, stage V tranny, Greedy FMIC, etc etc @ 20lbs!!! Its wicked fast, and I loose when he brake boost's it.

Its a different story when he brake boost'd the supra ....

GTO had a pretty good weight deficit, + (camera man and slicks in back seat) but did alright.
Stock curb weight GTO 3725
Stock curb weight Supra 3515

Supra mods: T67 kit, head work, hks cams, full exhaust, Greedy FMIC, stage V auto tranny... etc

nice! what the hell was behind the supra keepin up like it was nothin? i know those supras with mods are beasts. a body of mine, sinsach, has one and it is a monster on the highway. its a single 72mm with the supporting mods making appx. 800whp. for your car to pull like that, it must be a monster. good job!

well, i just watched the second vid. he didnt leave on you that hard. when you are relying on that much boost, brake boosting is a must. when i had my turbo nissan, it was the same way. good vids, great races!

are you only running a single 255lph? why not duals, or an aeromotive a1000? i wouldnt think a single 255 would keep up with what you are outting out. if it is, i think it would be smokin hot from the duty cycle. are you running a fuel pump controller?

No, im running meth and 72lb injectors. My tuner said the injectors are beginning to compensate, b/c im out of fuel pump. Im not turning the boost up any more, until i do more fuel. Right now my duty cycle is about 75%

alcohol injection makes up for alot. i manage a speed shop here in tulsa, and i have many customers who use alky injection as a substitute for the extra need of fuel. it also works as a cylinder quencher. its one of the best things you could do to a boosted car. man, i want to boost my slomaro so bad. once again, awseome races, awesome vids!

Well, two cars that run very well going at it, nice runs. I have always liked the supra and of course the gto.

Hey, what does your car make on 10psi? Did you drop your compression ratio for the boost, or are you still running stock CR, or higher?

I only ask cuz I would love to get an aps tt setup for the z, but i'm not sure if I need to worry about the compression ratio or not.

Lol, lets just say i blew up the stock block b/c of too much boost on stock compression. On 10lbs im making 668/682, on a forged shortblock and head work. My compression now is 9.7:1

IMHO, there is no better way to make reliable, repeatable, dd power than turbo. Insane when ur in it, tame when ur not. Did i mention my fuel economy?

She's my 700hp Prius LMAO....(ofcourse this is all low rpm cruising in 6th gear)

Awesome cars, was that a joke on the MPG's? lol

I wouldn't think it would spool up enough at low RPMs to help fuel economy...

Nice cars! I miss my turbo gp now. Brake boosting on a 50 roll was a blast! Could even spin the tires(nitto555r's) at 50 when I brake boosted. Any under hood shots? How much boost do you plan to run? Again, very nice cars in the vid!!

ONce i do a little more fuel i plan to run 15lbs. At an average of 60hp per lb, it should be a good gain
