turbo awd van vrs harley and merc benz A guy on a real loud harley tried the turbo van. The van pulled away.........fron a stop then the laughter began.
A few minuted later a black 4 door benz.....pulled the van , but it was close. Close enough to still see in the drivers window of the benz. He wouldnt even look over even afterward. To about 90 he pulled about 1 car.....I couldnt see what model, but Im guessing an s600? A new sleek one.
I didnt go from a stop and I think he did, I really didnt think he would go, I had no signs that anything was up. So I was behind from the get go, and as we went faster he slowly pulled alittle.
The tune is much better, now, and it was hitting the limiter on the 1/2 shift. Thats solved, and it feels like it wants to be shifted higher then 6200.
I had to tonw down the 1/2 shift also because it was getting false knock on teh shift.
oh yea, still 10 psi, but it had three people and both rows of bench seats in and was full of gas. The benz had one person...

I guess you dont hang out in FI much......LOL... all the specs are over there in couple different threads. It only weights 6800 lbs or so.
Oh, and my garage is dirty and messy, but thats why turbo awd vans happen from there. Its big....but Im just the maid.

Autozone lifetime was about 120$....The owners dad did most of the swap in my garage. He is an aircraft engineer in his late 60's. It was nice, pull the van in, and a few hours later it was about done. The new pump makes more noise though..........we dont know if it will last, but at least its lifetime and thats about how long he is planning on having the van.
I raised the limiter to 6600, and its shifting at 6200....it feels to soon still. I d confirm it on the dyno but we havnt tried to see if the van will go on or not. We measured them both (awd mustang) and its so close well just have to try it. Its so close it may not be "safe" to do.
Driving it around is so fun.....Im already collecting parts for my van. The problem is that this one came out so balanced and perfect, its hard for me to surely improve on it. Im gonna do a 402-414 (have both) with either 317's and a z06 cam or l92's and maybe something like the lingenfelter turbo cam.
A 4l80 rossler swap, convertor, and something like a divided s400-75 with a quick spool valve. That might be to much turbo though. 83 lb hr inj.

Im not sure what the benz was, I never got that far behind. I dont think it had the amg emblem on the rt rear though. I couldnt even see the left side emblem on the deck lid, but it was a 4 dr, and sleek, not the boxy look. It looked new, like an 08/09...

Yea, it looked like that in black. I doubt it was a 63... The van will hopefully pull off a 13 sec pass this friday. Its not that its world beating fast, but way way faster then it should be.
A c6 z06 a week ago friday was running 13.8 112, and the c5's were all in the 14's...imagine the worse enviroment imaginable.

yep, if your in 13s, your still faster than ive been at lvms lmao! i just remember joe saying yall were takin off cuz the ps pump took a crap. i thought that was hilarious, of all the things that could/probably should break, it turns out to be the power steering pump lol
