Default cadilliac CTS-V vs chipped BMW 135 (video)

Very close runs, the cadi has a comp 220/224 cam with a k&n intake and mufflers ( im still choking on the stock headers )

The 135 has the jb3 juice box chip.

very good runs.. Neck to neck almost...

I finaly broke my 3 race losing streak, lost to a c5, a c6 the week before and a ls2 GTO tonight befoe this race...

Enjoy.

Nice runs! Damn those 335i tuned cars got some scoot. My favorite qoute:

"soon as I hit fifth I got him! Up to 145 he was right with me" more worried voice immediately after "come on Brembo's, don't let me down" lol go a bit too far before letting up?

Yup, its the " Cadillac " name tax . Some stuff is more money just cause its for a cadillac...

Also Not many companys make aftermarket headers for it as compared to f-bodies so the few that make then charge alot...

But it also includes high flow cats and connector pipes for the stock catback .

But thanks for point out to me that I am beating a dead horse lol I didnt realy noticed till you said something... haha

the make around ~ 330 stock

The ls6 vette makes about 340-350 maybe even 360 but the cts-v has alot more drivetrain loss
( dont know why or the details but its just the rear end and the dual mass flywheel in the v etc.... )

Ive never seen an ls6 vette make 340, thats extremely low. C5Z06s tend to make 350-370whp stock and I think some have even hit 380! All I am saying is that your car has the potential to be alot faster, theres no reason why bolt-on GTOs should be walking you, it should be the other way around.

Great races! Those little 135's are no joke. Even in stock form they run in the 13's.

That sounds about right for the headers. I think the Dynatech LT's are around that much for the fbodies, but they come with the cats, etc. like you stated. Still doesn't make them cheap. I bet you'll forget all about the money the first time you step on the gas though

ya that what I thought, but after I found out he put down 385hp, I put down 360hp . And his car is about 2~300lbs lighter. It makes sence.

The CTS-V has the same motor as the Z06 but they just dont dyno as much . Diffrent drive train, more loss , just not as much to the wheels....

Also my clutch is starting to slip alittle But I dont have money for a new one so ive gotta deal with it...

I thought cts-v weighed about the same as a gto, arent they just about the same car? I guess the caddy prolly would weigh a lil more due to the luxury items. I think if your car was just full bolt-ons it would be faster than it is now, hurry up and get the rest of the bolt-ons so you can crack the 400 mark

Cts-v wieghts about ~3800 and some change, Slow SHO weighted his at the track and it was ~3600. Plus I think the LS2 is a better motor on the highway cause of the extra displacment...

Im waiting on the headers, they are on backorder , hoping to come close to the 400 mark id be a happy camper.

Ya adaniel that monster kit sounds good, but I dont have a extra 1,000 laying around right now so ive gotta wait. Screamin has one going in his turbo camaro, ill see how he likes his..
