My buddy knew this kid who had a 01 V6 mustang and just swapped the V6 for the 4.6 motor and all supporting parts in the car. His only mods are, cold air kit, off road mid pipe and straight piped i think?, and a shift kit. He told my buddy he wanted a piece of an LS1, so we went and met up with the kid sat night. My mods are in sig, and I didnt spray. Seemed like a cool kid.. But had to give him the pice of the LS1 he was looking for.

I don't even really know the kid, or if he correclty installed all the plugs, all I knew was that he wanted to run agianst a LS1 and was confident in his chances. Which is the reason I accepted the challenge with a grin on my face. And Kjmdrumz3, I wasn't looking for a pat on the back, just wanting to share a funny story of a mustang owner that thought he could run with a LS1 with a pretty much stock new edge mustang. Runs took place by Bluffton, but Im from Marion, 2000SS1979.. The next race was actually better for that mustang, it was against another friends 03 GT.

Ill post a better run, this one is against my buddies 04 GT, Kenny Bell supercharger, not sure what psi, non intercooled, 5 speed, 3:73's, off road h pipe, flowmaster catback, Kenny Bell cold air kit as well.. This is from last summer, were going to the track (hopefully) this wednesday so we'll have more vids of the two of us. I spray a 125 shot against him in this run. Both of us spin some too as you can hear.

man do ls1's love the juice.....i definetly miss the instant power. and mustnag and automatics just do not mix at all. unless its a c4. i bet that gt doesnt put down 200 to the wheels.

We aren't knockin' ya man...we are all just wondering what the hell he thought an LS1 powered car could really do. They've been around for long enough that people should have some sort of idea, but I guess not...

He must not know much about LS1s. He needs more mods than that to beat a modded one.

Yeah! he needs to do the drive-the-car-over-the-cliff-and-start-with-a-real-car mod. Adds at least 100-150 horsepower.

I would have love to see you run the KB car sans the juice. Once you came off the line you left him pretty quickly. It'd been close race minus the 125 shot. But always good to keep a little insurance in the bottle lol.
