Nitrous LT1 vs N/A 5.0
Well long story short some kids with a LT1 Camaro with nitrous want to run my car. They didn't seem to like my license plate which reads "UD LUZE". Now I explained to them that the tag is usually on my faster car but I recently had it switched over. They asked if my car was just a 4.6 and I said no its actually a 5.0. Well they were rolling in an automatic Z28 with nitrous. Said shot was a 125. (now really, who sprays a 125 shot? ) Anyways one of them asked "If we beat you do we get to take your tag (license plate)?" I laughed it off and said I didn't want to race. Well they keep on and finally I agree to.
I said I would only run from a 3rd gear roll since it was 31 degrees outside, I was on 18" wheels, and my 285s in the cold are like a set of bald donuts in the rain.
Well I start my car up to let it warm up. Its a bit touchy when its cold since I have no IAC so I have to play with the throttle to keep it running until it gets warm. LOL and the look on their face when I started it up was priceless. Now granted I have a set of 1 3/4" longtubes and dual 3" exhaust dumped through some Ultraflos but from their look you would think I started up a big block. I assure them its just cold natured and it would mild out in a second. They asked if I had a cam in it and I said yes with a trickfow intake. They asked what it made and I said I wasn't sure.
Car is warmed up and I said I was going home and we could run on the highway on the way. We go out and we line up. I'm around 4,000rpms in 3rd gear (right where my powerband starts) and I honk them off. He leaves on the 2.5 honk but sadly his jump ended very fast. Top of 3rd gear I had a carlength or two on him. I hit 4th gear and it just gets ridiculous. I'd say around 115mph I had a solid 5-6 cars on him. Now I'm not sure where he let off he could have given up before I got to 3rd. Because it was certainly a joke.
I never got to tell because they just turned off I think. They didn't even pull over and let me take the license plate off his car. Bunch of idiots.

I have a tag plate that says "DON'T TRY YOU'LL JUST LOSE".. long story short, the previous owner of my first SS went back and forth racing his buddies 5.0 and when he beat it, he took the plate.

is this the car in your sig? i raced a similar car with my dog LT1 w/ headers and 2.73s and we were pretty even. say that shot is giving 100 RWHP thats probably a 350 RWHP 400 RWTQ car. anyways car must run pretty strong for a Rustang =D im just playing around.
