first kill... don't laugh
to begin with, i have a stock 00 t/a M6 and not a very good story teller.
me and a buddy of mine were at a stop light, and as the light turned green a early 90's jeep cherokee (spelling is off), the ones that have a V8 in them, romped on his motor as he passed me by. So I met him at the next light, we took off. I was pulling away in 2nd gear, about to shift into 3rd, and my buddy told me to let off the gas. His reasoning was that I was already pulling away, and since I was about to shift into 3rd, I was only going to get faster, and the speeding ticket I got 4 days before this happened.
So, does this qualify as a kill?

imo, if ya talk to the guy afterwords and he knows, or admits (not usually likely tho) id say its a kill. people make so many excuses...i like to bury em so theres no question. once it starts i dont let out for anything

even if its obvious, people will make excuses all day. i ran an evo a few weeks ago from a 40 roll. i just have street tires so i was sideways in second and third gear (even shifted into 3rd early tryin to get it to hook back up), and still blowin them off in 4th. had 2 cars on him and a 3rd car as soon as i hooked at about 90. he backed out. then said he woulda took me but he didnt want to go any faster, which was bs seeins how this was on a dead highway that was straight for miles. i offered to run him from a 20 roll then and explained that would be the best advantage for him. but he said he couldnt. there are so many excuses that will be used. run wfo and bury em. feels a lot better too.

^^ I had a 99 Dakota R/t 5.9.. they're really not that exciting. A stock LT1 will edge one out. It's a good race for a stock GT, though.
98 Grand Cherokees with a 5.9 are pretty badass, especially when AWD. Launch like you wouldn't believe

ive just never been a fan of stock to stock comparisons. if your gettin a sports car that your not gonna mod and your just gonna use it to dd or cruise, then i understand looking at the stock numbers. i can see comparing what the cars do with similar mods. imo, when its about the power, build em, line em up, and run em. sometimes the fbody will be faster, and sometimes the mustang will be faster....even tho i hate to admit it haha. i dunno, i can see looking at stock numbers, but not arguing about them. thats just me tho

That's fine...if you don't care then don't participate.

LMAO... I owned an LT1 for 4 years... while I was quicker than my buddies 03 GT Auto (14.1 @ 97 vs his 14.3 @ 96) I was kicked in the teeth by my other buddies 99GT (13.99 @ 99mph) all stock to stock. I guess in reality (where I try to live) they were all really close. (though I'm sure some will try to cling to the whole GTs run 15s and LT1s ran 12s bs)
