Default Raced a vette (video)

IT WAS ON THE HIGHTWAY DRIVING TO A FRIENDS HOUSE AND VETTE PULLS UP NEXT TO ME. SO I KNEW HE WANTED TO RACE. SO I HONKED IT OFF BUT RIGHT BEFOR THE 3RD ONE HE TOOK OFF. I WAS GAINING ON HIM BUT LET OFF DO TO TRAFFIC.WE EXITED ON OLMITO. SO 2ND RACES CAME AROUND I TOOK THE CAMERA OUT AND SEE IT FOR YOURSELF. HE WAS A LITTLE SLOW ON THE REACTION TIME. DONT THINK IT WOULD HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE. FUN RACE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0mDuZTFk-g

Nice. Was it a stick? I believe the auto's are still LS2's and the sticks are LS3's? Can someone fill me in how how to tell a LS2 vette from a LS3?

so ALL 2006-2007 Corvettes had a LS2, and ALL 2008+ have the LS3? If so, how do you tell a a 2008+ apart? The way I tell is the door handle being on the fender for the 2006 on up vettes.

Worse, the '06s had the A4 automatic and the '07+ have the 6spd auto paddleshift available.

Then there is the Z51 package with different gearing.

Now the Grand Sport with different gearing still and a dry sump (actually more hp but rated the same) with a Z-06 body.

Oh, don't forget the ZR1...

I ignored the wheels comment because google images showed a 2008 vette with the same rims when I typed in 2008 corvette. when I typed in 2009 corvette this came up: appears totally different rims AND a split front brake diffuser vent. That split on all LS3's? pic is what I assume is a grand sport, are the rims the same?

2005 corvette:

Oh really, then what would a 2005 model have 97 to 04 are LS1.

05 to 07 LS2, 08 to present LS3, Not counting Z06 or ZR1 which had LS6, LS7 & LS9

yes 2005-2007 are LS2. 2008 to present are LS3, 2006 Z06 to present are LS7

2005 is the only year the c6 has an A4, others have A6

you can tell by the wheels if its an LS2 or LS3 that a vette is(not all the time)
