Default 08 mustang gt (stock) vs a4 ls1

Hello everyone this is my first thread here and hopefully many more to come, well to the race.

I was driving down the road and i seen a black camaro z28 sittin at the light so i pull up next to him and give him a friendly rev, him and his girlfriend just looked over at me, with her probably telling him you better not lose to a mustang lol, well we jump back and forth until we catch another light and traffic opens up W

When the light turns green we both hit the gas with me out in front by a fender in which it stayed that way until i shifted into fourth and he jumped a car on me instantly when i shut it down i caught back up to him and give a thumbs up and he smiled and did the same, all and all a good fun race that is what it is all about.

cliff notes: raced a (i asssume a stock) camaro z28 loss by a car length

Thanks for reading

Sounds right

If I were you I would take the car to the track as much as possible and see how fast you can get it. Then mod. I think it will reward you much more doing it this way rather than just throwing parts at it now.

I try to get to the track its just hard i have alot on my plate right now but probably just going to keep it close to stock its a lease car and i'll be turning it back in soon, although im thinking about keeping i did get a really good deal the car.

I did put axelback exhaust on it but that does next to nothing for power, just makes it sound better

Good death. Those GT's look great. I was looking at a dark gray auto before I got my G8. I don't think I would have been disappointed if I had gone that route.

geez..we're getting more ford guys coming to this site than chevy guys..lol thats alright..if they hang around long enough they'll get converted. Welcome to the site, always makes it more interesting to have a big variety of car enthusiasts. Nice run in the lease car..now go lease an 06 GTO and see which one you like better.

Nice kill/death: should have let up at the end of 3rd.

It used to bug me that non-LSx guys where always posting up in the kill section of LSx boards, but now I realize its all for the good as long as they arent 'Ford rules all!' types. Look forward to seeing your future posts 20GTSTANG08.

x2... I was hoping for a kill though. This thread would have gone differently had the OP won (well save for my post ).

I was just trying to start **** LOL.

But seriously, the 05+ isn't like the 2v. It will pull up to so with the better gearing, the LS1 will be in trouble all the way to 5th gear.

It seems like the 3v has a lot more low-end than the 2v. I'm not all that impressed with the 70+ mph performance. Most of the time I run into these things on the highway in my G35. The 3v 5spd always slightly pulls me to 70-80, after that I hold my ground. I finally raced a guy in my class from a 1st gear roll and got embarassed. It was not pretty. Prolly about 3-4 cars just in 1st. My mods- 5/16 spacer, 350z intake. His mods- "full exhaust."

They do have low end power i think about on par with an ls1 but they fall on there face about 70-80
