my first race of the season...a cammed EVO ix Finally warm weather is here, I got the open up my beast since getting the new cam setup in.
My buddie has a evo, his mods are in the video.
basicly everybolt on and cams , still on the stock turbo pushing it to the limit at 28psi.
My mods and dyno numbers are in the sig.

Also please excuse my shifting, Im having some issues with my spec 3+/maybe the master cyl, im having trouble getting into gears at high RPMS. Im working on resolving the issue.
I missed 4th in the second race but caught it the second try and was able to pass the evo . I wasnt sure if the evo let off but I asked the kid after the race and he said he didnt let off, and hiss passanger confermed . Im amazed how hard this thing pulls in 4th gear.

Good runs, man! Once you get that shifting problem figured out you'll be in front of him much sooner! Evo definitely moves out though.
Man, we've had some perfect weather these last couple days. Also, I got my bottle heater and fuel jets today, so hopefully I can get it back on the dyno next week and see what the 125 and 150 jets can do! Unfortunately, I need to empty the bottle to install the pressure switch...I wonder if I can find a couple nice cars to try that on
Also, I think you forgot to list the cam in your mods for the vid.

he has a good size turbo with about 30psi.
How did you do when you raced him ? did you spray?

That's nice, but it doesn't make the Evo any less impressive though.
Definitely a big looking front mount and he said it was some red turbo or something (I really don't know anything about them).
I had PSM in the car and he was alone. This was before the heads and I sprayed the 100 shot. We raced twice from 40 mph to the top of 4th. The first race I got him by about a fender. It looked like he was gonna start pulling at the top of every gear, but then we'd shift and I'd inch out. The second race I pulled about 1/2 a car on him.
The races were both great and the cars were very evenly matched. He was a real cool guy too who was up for a friendly race without drama. We both told each other our mods and power without and BS and had a couple nice clean runs. Gave each other credit for having fast cars and he was the first one to tell everyone that I had won the races when we got back.
I got it on video, but my face is in it so I won't post it online. I'll show you sometime when we're hanging out.
The funniest part was all the retards hanging out in the parking lot before (not his friends, just random people). They were sitting in their early 90's VW's and such, throwing out insults at me before hand as I drove by, etc. Once I beat the Evo everyone wanted to talk to me and ask about my car

That white evo is gonna be a monster this summer, same with his brothers car ... gonna be some fun races to post up

Ya those boys have some sick cars. Wish I had cash like that...
If I see a camaro with a front mount I dont think im even going to try lol
