96ws6 vs. 05ish 350z Was making a left at a light, and I noticed a 350z at the light. So I took the other left hand turn lane next to him. He had the inside lane.
Seen this guy around town before, likes to show off his 350... so I figured id show him my 350
We both make the left, and I know hes game by the way he took off, so I follow in my lane, and he gets about a car or so ahead of me because he got the inside lane. I hear him punch it so I follow.
after I hooked at the top of first gear I started to reel him in. by the top of 2nd gear I was at rear quarter or so... top of 3rd i was a car ahead of him.
My car was also gettin that high RPM opti miss that run
If my car was running full I probably woulda had him easier.
the 3.73s made a difference definitely

Damn Opti's. They ruined my day, when I still had a LT1 car, a few times. Hell my first one went when my car was two weeks old. I lost a fuel pump the first week. I think that car was cursed. It lived in the shop, still under warranty though.

And you're wrong. He's not fast. I've trapped higher than him at ATCO stock. He would have trouble with even a stock 06+ with a good driver from a roll. BTW my highest trap was a 104 at Atco with a 3 mph tailwind.

350Zs are low 14 cars at 100-102mph on average.. A bolt on lt1 would have no problem with one with even exhaust/cai/tune. Everyone knows these cars have just about every pony they can get out of them from the factory to get the V6 to achieve that amount of power. You don't pick up as much with the mods as much as many platforms do. Not to mention the lack of cubes helping when modding.

Everyone knows these cars have just about every pony they can get out of them from the factory to get the V6 to achieve that amount of power. You don't pick up as much with the mods as much as many platforms do. Not to mention the lack of cubes helping when modding.

It's in every thread because it's true. I trapped your boy, the op, traps a 102. At best he'd probably would match me from a roll. If only I was stock and I'd run the op just to prove a point. Also not all 350z's trap between 100-102. At MIR 07's go consistenly 107-109 and would walk the op. This isn't about mods we're talking stock. Please tell me the op's 102 trap would pull a 107-109 from a stock 07 from a roll.
What did you run stock and what was the DA?
What was the DA when the OP ran his times?
We all know what kind of times MIR puts out... Lets see what a 350/370z runs at a DA of around 2500.. It won't be your claimed 105+mph, period.
Please tell me you are not ignorant enough to not understand just because someone can take a stock 07 and run 107mph that everyone can do it or that same car can do it at another track.. Please tell me you didn't think that the OP could be running at 3000+DAs...

There are plenty of us that would smash your **** in.. You don't see everyone on the board jumping in on you. If you make so much power why do you care who wins between two stock cars.

It's in every thread because I just wish that everyone who drove a 350z wasn't some idiot. It just pisses me off because I'm an above average and can easily handle some people who post here sometimes with bs kills. It's time for me to buy an sti and leave the overpriced, not getting any power from a $2000 exhaust, $10,000 for a tt kit plus installation, $10000 engine build, to just barely run 9's, world of ******* Nissan. Too bad the $56,000 I've invested and probably couldn't pull a C6 Z06 with 200 shot from a 60 roll.

Not as of recent. Haven't seen it since last April and don't get to again til June. Can't wait especially since the build was just recently finished. BTW check the other thread I just posted pics up.

03-06 350Zs run nearly identical ETs and Trap Speeds to an LT1...low 14s high 13s at around 99-103MPH. 07-08 350Zs run mid 13s at around 101-105MPH. How would a bolt on 350Z not be a problem for essentially a stock LT1? Their a very close race, especially since most LT1s arnt up to 100% and have opti problems anyways....my brother just beat an LT1 camaro in his 02 Maxima the other day.
