Default H/C/I Supercharged C5 Zoh vs. Turbo Mach1

Went to a local GTG a nice looking C5 zoh was there with a H/C/I setup and a Vortech Supercharger. He said he was running around 13psi and putting down around 630rwhp. I took the cams out of my car so now it is just a forged motor with ported heads and a T76 Turbo running at 14.5 psi on pump gas. Not too sure what the rwhp is since I fixed a few leaks I had since the last time I put it on the dyno. Anyway we took off and ran 2 times, once from a 55 and the other from a 65. From the 55 pump I put about 3 cars on him from what I could tell and was pulling but had to shut it down due to traffic. From the 65 punch we hit it and started to pull on him then missed 4th where he made came up next to me. I got it back in gear and got back into boost and put maybe a 1/2 car on the zoh that time. It was a some very nice runs and a sweet looking C5 Zoh.

So far smokey is 5-0 against Vettes around here.

Good runs Dan. I know exactly what a Mach 1 with a 76mm turbo will do. They can
be pretty nasty.

Any vids of your car? Let's hear that turbo. I love that sound.

Great kill, that Mach 1 is SICK!

Any guess as to your rwhp? My buddy has a Z06 with almost the exact same setup that was making 650 rwhp and that thing was retardedly fast. With me in the vette and PSM alone in his car we put an easy 6-8 cars on him in 2 gears.

For your car to be pulling away that much from a similar Z06 I'm guessing 700+ rwhp.

Also, what was the reason for removing the cams? Just curious on that one.

I don't think my car is making 700rwhp I would think somewhere around 650rwhp give or take 20rwhp. I took the cams out because they hurt the low tq and power under the curve. I put the stock cams back in and now the car pulls harder down low and really didn't loose any upper end power and it also sounds stock

Sick either way! And don't turbo cars usually make more on the street than they show on the dyno?

Dan, how long have you had the turbo on the car? How long does it take to get use to that kind of power?

I've at the turbo on here for a year now. For me it only took a few days to get use to it. But speed and power doesn't bother or scare me. The more the better. Everyone that has ridden in my car thinks it is faster then **** and they have high hp cars. To me I think it runs ok but not all that fast. I guess I'm just use to it. IDK hahaha

Haha, very nice! I know my 400 rwhp feels slow in the summer, but scares me in the winter when the car sometimes breaks loose going into 3rd and 1st and second are useless. I can't imagine 250+ extra horsepower!

That is why I have 335 Hoosier DR's out back. lol And it will break them loose pretty easy. As long as it isn't too sideways I'm not worried about it.

If you were closer to me I would show you first hand how much bs there is around here. What do you have? A stock C5 zoh Bus lengths wouldn't even describe the *** dragging you would receive if you ran agains me.

BTW I can't get the Vid because I can't get it from the other guy...

LMAO.. "If we were to meet" LMAO I can tell you exactly what would happen.... Nothing.. Thinking your Bucket has a chance Vs. me is a mistake. Nothing stock here my good man.. Bark up another Vettes tree. This is one that will not be a gay kill story thread for you.

Nice kill op, A heads cam si trim vette is pretty fast and to pull him that good takes some real power. I wonder why he is only at 630hp on 13psi though, my car is only on 8psi and made 600 thru a slipping clutch. Well anyway love the car. 03/04 machs are my favorite stang and if I didn't have 3 cars already I would have one.
