Default H/C CTS-V vs ISF and 300c SRT8

My old CTS-V. Enjoy the vid.

The CTS-V spun real bad in the first dig run with the ISF (3500 rpm launch). If you notice in the second dig run the V launches at 2500 which hooked 10x's better.

The V had a baby cam that wasn't much bigger than stock. The car was making around 400-410 at the wheels.

ive blown one , and its been second gear roll or nothing since...

There is a new Gen 3 diff out , and when combined with good axles theres guys hitting the strip with DR's and not breaking anything.

But the price tag of the two is too deep for my pockets..

Nice runs. I tried to get a ISF to run me in my 71 Monte (gutted and caged, cammed 408 LS stroker) and he heard it loping at a stoplight and gave me a nice car but didn't want to run. I thought I was going to smash him but then I went home and looked up the specs and found that they are pretty damn fast.

If you make any kind of power in a gen1 CTSV and drive it hard, the rear is on borrowed time.

You dont speak from experience do you? Just heard all the talk and jumped on the bandwagon. See numbers in sig and I drive the car hard. Long tubes will be installed this week.

Nice vid!

Those ISFs are over rated. I ran one from a 65 roll, and my V just played with it as if it were a rag doll.

I've been good other than the Vette being down for a new build. I sold the Cadi about a month ago. I should be out in Cali in about 5 wks so I'll be sure to hit you up.

I ran the ISF a few other times off vid and beat him everytime from a roll. I lost the first dig run due to spinning the tires all of first.

Nice runs.

The IS-F launch was simply pitiful. Assuming the SRT-8 was tuned, the IS-F needed a driver mod big time.

Unless you're cam+, an IS-F will beat a stock 1st gen V every time and run even with a full bolt-on one.

Or, it wasn't an IS-F...

Either he wasn't racing or your V is far from stock. A stock ISF is a solid mid to high 12 second car.
