OK. Im not much of a story teller, but im bored and its late..whateva.
350zguy: Big turbo,built motor,built tranny etc..
Me: 02 T/a, Full exhaust plus a few other bolt ons, and a 3600 stall.

The 350z guy has been talking **** to me for over a month...saying my car is slow, which it is by no means fast but I think its decent for what it is. Anyway's he talks about drag racing all the time but he wouldnt give me a dig...." I cant hook from a dig..not even at the track with slicks... I cant go any lower than a 55."

So, first race 55. He spooled up and left me standing still. It wasnt even close.

Second race I talked him into a 30 roll, I jumped out 3 or 4 cars but he came around by 100 and prolly put 2 cars on me by the time we shut down.

Anyways, Im getting my old job back so more mods will be coming soon. Prob a small shot to start. How do you think I'd fare with a 150 shot and M/T drs? he said on meth he makes 650+

Because it's basic 350Z owner math. They add roughly 200 HP to their actual power level. LOL. Sorry, I'm not a fan of most 350Z owners... they tend to think their rides are king ****. Had he really been making 650... he would have put bus lengths on you. Lets say you're at roughly 400... a car with 250 more ponies, and he finally ran you down at 100 and then put maybe 2 cars on ya? He's out to lunch. Good death man, add that shot and eat his lunch.

Well, he was spinning. thats the only reason i jumped em, he did spin some from a 55 too. he said he made 650 on 24psi w/ meth

Theres no way the T/A is at 400 hp to the wheels (MAYBE at the crank) with a full exhaust and a few other bolt ons, (OP what other bolt-ons do you have???) unless those bolt-ons are heads. He would need at least a cam added to his setup to make 400 hp IMO. The only reason I am bringing this up is because it makes the 350z look even slower then the owner claims it to be. Id say the 350z is around ~450 at the wheels and the T/A might be making ~350 at the wheels if he has a tune and some other good bolt-ons. Anyone else understand what Im trying to say? Just my .02 cents

I think he was implying at the crank, as the OP was implying 650 at the crank also... Rwhp was never said, so we are only left to assume, and you know what that does. Either way, good death. Sad it took that much to beat you

Hate to say it but you cant fall into another cars attributes and expect to not get beat. If he raced you from a dig you would have walked him hard but instead you played his game and got beat. If I were you id have said dig or no race. Or at least say ill give you a low roll but i want a dig as well.

To the OP, good death. That's a bad-assed 350. With all the **** he talked however, he SHOULD have raced you from a dig. You don't talk **** to someone, and call their car slow, then say "oh but we have to race specific races though" I have a feeling the race would have been a bit different from a dig. Either way, you have my respect for posting deaths.

So LS1 based cars aren't allowed to race any car with a smaller engine?

I know if I had one, I'd be hunting down all the stock 2v fools that think they have a chance with a LS1. (Most of the time, I just smile and nod when one pulls up to me, especially if I hear cam)

He probably got the car that fast so he could mess with slower cars. Isn't that the purpose of making your car faster than the next guys?

I am getting my rear built up a bit and putting gears in this week. Still wont be fast, but it will be less slow.

Nice death. The 350z owner is talking out of his ***. As everone else said, he wasnt running 650 crank hp, rwhp, or whatever it may be when you two raced. You held your ground, good job. There are a few built engine turbo 350z's around here that will blow the doors off most cars . He might not be lying lol

More info is needed to judge what kinda power he had. From the 55 roll how many cars did you put on you, and to what speed? You both leave at the same time?

Being a bolton 3600 stall car, I would assume your rwhp is in the 340-350 range. From a roll, say 55-110mph, with weights being equal, you can use the math of 1 car equals 10rwhp. 10 car lead, then he is at least 100rwhp up on you. So where do you think his rwhp fell then?

Well, I believe he has close to 600 to the wheels. As far as race info, we both started at the same time, he didnt brake boost but even so it felt like i was pushing the brakes he pulled so hard. and from the low roll we both started at the same time he was just spinning really bad.. whenever he passed me i heard him pedaling it a little bit. and on the low roll we only went to probably 110 maybe a little more.

well it is kinda a bitch move to have a built car like the guy has with probably 20+k into the mods then refuse to race someone from a dig or and want to do a 55 roll.
