Default Cam/nitrous LT1 Z28 & C6 Z06 vs. bored/stroked 408 LSX Z28

Last weekend there were a few races, south of the border, of course. I've got a couple vids, but one of them has some language that won't allow it to be posted to a video host...I'm waiting for the audio to be edited. At any rate, here's one of the videos. It's the cam/nitrous LT1 vs. the bored/stroked 408 LSX; the LT1 takes the win, even riding +1 in the car! The vid of the C6 Z06 vs. the 408 will be posted as well.

I've always liked LT1's for their mad torquelz, but they usually get frowned on these days compared to new tech. I just wanted to throw it out there that the LT1 can hold it's own against built motors. The next vid should be the LT1 vs. the Z06; awwww, cuz. I've seen the LT1 and Z06 race several times and the LT1 does well. Good job with your car dude!

I really didnt expect the LT1 to pull the 408 on the top end. Great kill non the less, any specs on the LT1? How big of a shot?

I'll get the specs and how much nitrous he was running. As far as I've seen, the engine is all factory except the cam he slipped in and the ZEX system. I'll let you know today.

I'm know . It's the best that could be had with the iphone at the time. A REAL camera would help a lot.

Didn't even think about it, but the specs on the 408 would help too. I'll post those too so it gives good grounds for comparison.

Just let out of the bag, it's the_merv's car. IMO, 408 held it's own versus cammed Lt1, bolt ons with Nitrous. The question is how big of a shot was it?

That's a very tame cam for that LT car, but sounds about right with stock heads.

To be honest, the novelty of being in England wore off. I miss the land of the Free. Bigger with everything, convenience... I'm sure this will change again when I get my *** to do a little trip to Germany w/ the camaro.

Oooooooo, a little Autobahn top speed run, eh? Make sure the tires are in good shape and speed rated . Should run fast. Pick some "fights" too while you're on it

Good race! That LT1 looks like it's a strong runner.

I'll admit, I was very surprised at how fast it is, especially with the minimal mods that are done to it.

Nice vid. I have vids of my baby cam only + spray beating on some faster cars too. A 408 lsx being one of them.

Nice dude. That means this race wasn't a fluke then, since you've done the same thing. I'm telling you, that LT1 in the vid is a good run on the Z06. Z06 has intake, tune, exhaust.

Not trying to hijack or take anything away from the original story but here's a couple:

C6 Z06

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xp6NhmzGp5A

408 Stroker Camaro. Clutch slips badly when I fall back. It finally grabs in 4th and I pull around him easily. I would have been way out on him with a non-slipping clutch, you can hear me peddling it over and over trying to get it to hook. Re-race video to come. Then he will spray and kill me, he plans on a big shot. 250ish

Nah man, no hijack worries.

Wow dude. You weren't joking; pulled HARD in the second vid once you got it going. Good job on the car!

I don't care how big of a shot he was running. Unless that bolt on LT1 car had that motor in a go cart, that 408 should have ate him alive. I fig there was something going on with it. It just don't add up
