LS2 GTO vs 2011 5.0

LS2 GTO vs 2011 5.0 Coming home from work saw a silver ls2 gto. Guy got up next to me with no traffic in front of us and I looked over and he was pretty old. He just rolled by me and didnt look over so I figured nothing would happen. We ran into a light with one car in front of us me behind him in the right lane. Light turned green he goes around the car in front of us when he can, gets into the left lane and punches it. By the time I get around the car and hit it he has a 4-5 car lead on me and the hit. Think it was about 50-55 I wasnt really looking but I know the car went down to 2nd. By 125ish I was passing him in the right lane and he let off. Pretty sure it was bone stock(very quiet) and a manual(saw a puff of smoke between shifts) but not sure since I wasnt paying him any attention after he didnt jump the first time. He seemed to be shifting it decently. Good way to start the weekend.

When did you get the 5.0? Is it stock? Should put it in your sig and delete that "1992 Mustang GT" . . . 
Nice kill btw: was there a chance that he let up then got back on it when he realized you were WOT chasing him? I've done that before. Not that I think a stock GTO is gonna run door to door with a new stock 5.0, but 4-5 cars AND the hit is quite the power differential.

Im just joking but making up 5 cars and the hit in that small amount of time isnt normal.
This guy and his 5.0 humor. Makes my day.

Lol jk. But it really is the most interesting and significant addition to the performance car world this millenium, imo! It really got **** goin' in the industry, and still gets **** going imo. But... who would have ever thought it would come to a lowly 5.0 being compared to it lol. These coyotes really rolled out the red carpet, and we have to see the major way Ford stepped **** up here. I'd love to grab an unmolested black c5z though 
In reality though....(you knew it was coming...)- how would a stock ls2 goat typically run against a stock '11 GT with the better gears? Just curious what we're looking at here is all.

Mines an auto they all come with 3.15's no option for different gears from the factory. It ran 12.90 @ 111 stock with 300 miles in 800' da a few weeks ago. I've since added a tune. He definately wasnt the best driver or it was an auto. No chirps or hard shifts from the GTO.
